The Red Miners will commence their ISL campaign against the Gaurs.

Khalid Jamil’s leadership at Jamshedpur FC nearly orchestrated one of the most remarkable comebacks in the Indian Super League after the team languished in the bottom half of the table mid-season. When Scott Cooper departed the club mid-season unexpectedly, Jamil stepped in and turned the tide for the Red Miners.

Under his guidance, Jamshedpur FC not only rose from the ashes but topped their group and reached the semi-finals of the Kalinga Super Cup. They came so very close to breaking into the top six ceiling of the ISL, just a few points away from securing a coveted playoff spot.

Impressed by his tactical prowess and motivational leadership, the Jamshedpur FC management placed their faith in Jamil, offering him an extended contract. This decision allows him to meticulously plan and select his best squad combination from the very start of the new season.

With the team’s full backing, Jamil is determined to lead Jamshedpur FC away from the “mid-table” label and establish them as a dominant force in the ISL. His strategic acumen and relentless pursuit of success will undoubtedly make the Red Miners a team to watch this season.

Jamshedpur FC will kick off their ISL season with an away fixture at Fatorda, where they face Manolo Marquez’s FC Goa. The team is eagerly anticipating their first home game in front of their passionate and lively fans in the Steel City, as they clash with defending ISL champions Mumbai City FC on September 21. Jamshedpur FC will play a total of 12 matches in the first half of the season this calendar year.

In October, the team will have back-to-back home games against East Bengal and Hyderabad FC, providing an exciting opportunity to gain momentum in front of their vociferous home fans.

Over a month, Jamshedpur will take on the Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan, Mohammedan SC, and East Bengal FC, setting up a thrilling set of fixtures. The Red Miners will wrap up their fixtures for the calendar year with a home game against Kerala Blasters FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on December 29, an eagerly awaited encounter for their supporters.
