Sunil Chhetri tops the list with 10 goals against the Kerala Blasters

Over the years, the Indian Super League has seen some truly generational talents—players who have scored goals for fun, winning Golden Boots and Golden Balls along the way. While finding the back of the net against any team is never easy, a few players have made a habit of it.

These players have terrorized defences and struck fear into fans every time their name appeared on the opposing team sheet. Here are five players who have consistently tormented a single opponent in the ISL, racking up goals against them season after season.

Sunil Chhetri – 10 goals vs Kerala Blasters

The former Indian captain is the highest goalscorer in the Indian Super League at the moment and most of his goals have come against Kerala Blasters. In all, Sunil Chhetri has made 16 appearances in the ISL against the Blasters scoring 10 goals and providing 2 assists to his teammates.

All of Chhetri’s goals against KBFC have come in the blue of Bengaluru FC and this includes the hattrick that he scored against Kerala in December 2024. To add to this feat, The BFC skipper has also scored nine goals against his former employers Mumbai City FC

Bartholomew Ogbeche – 10 goals vs Chennaiyin FC

The striker is arguably one of the best players ever graced the ISL. The Nigerian Eagle’s favourite prey was arguably Chennaiyin FC as Ogbeche scored against the Marina Machans for four different clubs in the league.

Representing NorthEast United, Kerala Blasters, Mumbai City, and Hyderabad FC, Bartholomew Ogbeche scored 10 goals in 9 appearances against Chennaiyin FC. This included two hattricks that he scored against the Marina Machans, sending nightmares to their defenders every time they went up against Ogbeche.

Lallianzuala Chhangte – 10 goals vs FC Goa

Lallianzuala Chhangte is the next name on the list as he has terrorized the FC Goa defence every time he has played against them. In total, the 27-year-old has 10 goals and 3 assists to his name against the former ISL Shield winners in 20 league games.

Chhangte’s best against FC Goa has arguably come in the playoffs. In 16 league games, the Mizo-Flash has scored 5 goals against the Gaurs whereas in the playoffs, the winger has scored 5 goals in just four games.

Roy Krishna – 10 goals vs Jamshedpur FC

The city of joy welcomed Roy Krishna as he joined ATK in 2019. The Fijian became an instant hit at the club and has since gone on to represent Mohun Bagan, Bengaluru FC, and Odisha FC in the ISL.

Roy Krishna opened his account against the Men of Steel in his very first encounter against Jamshedpur FC in 2019 and he has not stopped since. In total, the striker has plundered 10 goals past JFC’s defence, becoming a constant threat to their backline.

Liston Colaco – 9 goals vs NorthEast United

The Indian international completes our list having haunted NorthEast United’s defence since the 2019-20 ISL season. Liston Colaco scored 2 goals as Hyderabad FC won 5-1 20th December 2020 and the winger has not looked back since.

In total, Liston has scored 9 goals and has provided 3 assists to his teammates in 12 ISL games against NorthEast United. The wingers’ latest goal against NEUFC came in December last year as Mohun Bagan SG cruised to a 2-0 win at the Indira Gandhi Stadium on the back of Liston’s brilliant goal.
