There were few things to write home about from a game devoid of quality on the whole.

Jamshedpur FC finally overcame their goalscoring duck as they beat home side Delhi Dynamos 0-1 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi in an Indian Super League match on Wednesday. Nigerian Izu Azuka rose highest to head home the only goal in a match in which the attacking players on both sides offered very little.

Here's how  the Indian players on both the teams rated

Delhi Dynamos

Albino Gomes- 8.0

Albino saves

After the howler against NorthEast United that cost his team the 2nd goal, the young Goan goalkeeper somewhat redeemed himself with a good performance. He commanded his area well, dealing bravely with the dangerous aerial balls into the box. Also saved a penalty, albeit it was a poor attempt by Andre Bikey, but could do little about the goal minutes later. Went off injured.

Pritam Kotal- 5.5

The India International didn’t do much wrong defensively, but offered almost nothing going forward. Visibly weary towards the end of the game and struggled against substitute Kervens Belfort

Pratik Chowdhary- 6,0

The lanky central defender made a team-high of five clearances and four blocks. But, his performance was marred by the penalty he conceded when he pulled down Izu Azuka in the box and also towards the end of the match when he failed to clear a ball, that allowed Sameehg Doutie to race to the goal.

Munmun Lugun- 7.0

The left-back had a tidy game and did not allow the opposition much freedom along his flank. Also got forward well and looked dangerous, whipping in eight crosses into the box.

Vinit Rai- 6.5

The young central midfielder passed the ball around with 84% accuracy, helping the Dynamos keep the majority share of possession, but couldn’t provide the team with any creativity.

Lallianzuala Chhangte- 5.5

The Mizo speedster had a lively start to the game with a few quick-fire forays down the left flank, but found it increasingly tough to impose himself against a composed Jamshedpur defence as the game wore on.

David Nghaite- 5.5

The Manipuri striker had the best chance in the game for the Dynamos to equalise when he showed some nice footwork on the edge of the box before getting his shot away at goal, which was well saved by Subrata Paul

Sukhdev Patil- NA

Jamshedpur FC

Subrata Paul- 6.5

The Men of Steel’s custodian didn’t have much to do for the 90 minutes as he eased to his 4th consecutive clean sheet in the league. However, he had to make a good save from a David Nghaite shot in the 90th minute to ensure his team secured all three points.

Shouvik Ghosh- 5.0

The left-back didn’t have a very good game, being easily outmuscled by Guyon Fernandez on two occasions. Also, his passing was off the mark, aimlessly spraying the ball forward most of the time.

Souvik Chakrabarti- 6.5

The right-back didn’t have a great start to the game as he struggled initially against the pace of Chhangte, but grew in confidence as the game went on, marshalling his side of defence well.

Mehtab Hossain- 7.5

The former India international brought all of his experience to the fore, as he delivered an inch-perfect ball from a free-kick for Azuka to head home. Also, at the heart of Jamshedpur’s midfield, Mehtab didn’t allow the Dynamos attackers to dictate play, gelling well with the central defensive partnership of Bikey and Tiri

Bikash Jairu- 6.5

The winger was a lively presence on the left wing all evening, causing problems to the Dynamos defence. However, he was also guilty of not making the best of opportunities, when he could have put it on a plate for Azuka to score, which would have put a gloss on the scoreline and also on his performance.

Siddharth Singh- 6.0

The winger caught the eye with his pace and dribbling down the right flank in the first half, but faded away as the game progressed. He, however, performed his defensive duties well in tandem with Souvik Chakrabarti
