The Gaurs are in great form as they picked up their fourth consecutive clean-sheet in the league.

It was another disappointing result for Steve Coppell’s ATK against FC Goa, as the hosts picked up an easy 3-0 win at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda. Ferran Corominas scored a brace to become the all-time top scorer of the Indian Super League (ISL), with 31 goals as well as the highest scorer in the league this season, overtaking Bartholomew Ogbeche.

It was a fantastic night for Sergio Lobera’s men as they picked up their fourth consecutive clean-sheet and replaced NorthEast United in second place in the table. As for ATK, their hopes of making the playoffs took a huge dent as in-form Pune City, who have two games in hand, will look to capitalize on their poor results to move into sixth position.

Watch: FC Goa 3-0 ATK highlights

Here are our ratings for the Indian players from the game:

FC Goa

Naveen Kumar- 7.0

The 29-year-old goalkeeper was in top form, as he saved each shot that he faced on goal (5). Apart from the 46th-minute error which almost cost him a goal, Naveen played a decent part in Goa’s win and certainly deserved to bag his second consecutive clean-sheet.

Seriton Fernandes- 6.5

Seriton made a good contribution to the team’s passing, as he maintained a superb 88% accuracy overall. Defensively too, the full-back performed well with three tackles, three blocks and a couple of clearances. On the whole, it was a great night for the lad who is tipped by many to be picked for the national team.

Mandar Rao Dessai- 7.0

It was a brilliant night for Mandar, as he led the absolute destruction of the ATK defence from the left flank. The full-back even attempted a couple of shots out of which one was on target, but was saved by Arindam. Mandar didn’t have much to do defensively and he kept his passes clean by maintaining a 77% completion rate.

Lenny Rodrigues- 6.5

Lenny wasn’t as commanding in midfield as he needs to be, but his ball distribution was perfect. 93% of his passes were accurate, which explains his massive contribution to the team’s possession. Defensively, he performed three tackles. Another solid game by the 31-year-old.

Jackichand Singh- 7.5

Watch: Jackichand Singh opened the scoring for The Gaurs against ATK

Playing alongside Corominas, Jackichand played a massive part in the Goan attack. The winger paired up well with the Spaniard and even scored in the very first minute of the game. He was a constant threat from the right wing and used Seriton’s help a few times too. Overall, it was a splendid display by the Manipuri lad.

Brandon Fernandes- 7.0

Like Jacki, Brandon too gave nightmares to the ATK defence throughout the game. His fierce runs with and without the ball always make a great impact and help Goa create more space in attack.

With his natural pace, the midfielder often surges past defenders easily and it might be the reason for him being constantly fouled. The winger has been a valuable player for The Gaurs this season and would certainly have pleased his coach with his performance against ATK.

Substitutes

Manvir Singh- NA

Replaced Brandon in the 85th minute, but had very little to do as Goa already seemed to have won the game by then.

ATK

Arindam Bhattacharya - 7.0

Arindam delivered to his fullest potential on the night, but unfortunately didn’t receive the support he deserved from the defence. The 29-year-old faced a massive 10 shots on goal, out of which he managed to save seven. His ball distribution was accurate too with an 80% completion rate.

Pritam Kotal - 5.0

Another disappointing game for Pritam, as he just couldn’t take command of the backline. The full-back was below-par defensively and also wasn’t very active in attack. He was eventually substituted off in the 68th minute.

Arnab Mondal - 5.0

Arnab was at the centre of a shambolic ATK defence against the Gaurs. The 29-year-old performed seven clearances overall in the game, but still conceded three goals.

Ricky Lallawmawma - 5.5

Like his fellow defenders, Ricky too wasn’t at his best, as he just couldn’t withstand the pace of Jacki on the right flank. Moreover, the full-back also conceded a penalty in the 79th minute, when he tripped Corominas after sticking a leg out inside the box. The 27-year-old managed to perform five tackles, four interceptions and three blocks.

Jayesh Rane - 5.0

Jayesh was absent for most of the game, as he made no impact in attack. His passing also wasn’t up to the mark.

Hitesh Sharma- 4.5

Replaced the injured Pronay Halder in the starting lineup and Hitesh was a spectator for the majority of the game. The youngster could manage only 20 touches and he lasted for just over an hour on the pitch, before being substituted off. Perhaps, starting Hitesh against The Gaurs wasn’t the best decision by Coppell.

Substitutes

Balwant Singh- 5.0

Came in to replace Hitesh in the 52nd minute and although he did well by showing his physicality in the game, it wasn’t enough to change ATK’s fate. The striker also received a yellow card in the 89th minute for a tussle with Edu Bedia.

Ankit Mukherjee- 5.0

Came in for Kotal in the 68th minute and the full-back did no better than the man he replaced. In fact, Ankit even received a yellow card minutes after coming on for a rough foul on Brandon.
