The Spaniard also revealed his dissent on the refereeing decisions on Saturday night.
Following Bengaluru FC's second consecutive win of the camapaign against rivals Kerala Blasters, head coach Carles Cuadrat interacted with the media in the post-match press conference. Captain Sunil Chhetri’s diving header made the difference on a night marred with controversial officiating. However, the Blues have now moved second on the table and are equal in points with ATK who sit atop with a game in hand. Carles Cuadrat spoke to the press after the side’s second victory of the campaign.Thoughts On The Game
The Blues started the game off on a very lousy note, allowing Kerala Blasters to get the better of them in many occasions. Carles Cuadrat was asked if he was frustrated with how his team performed in the first half, to which he replied answered, “I wasn’t really frustrated at first, Blasters are a strong side and we expected them to put up a good performance. We knew we would get our chances later in the game.” “It was a very exciting game for the supporters to watch and scoring the first goal in these matches matters the most and it’s exactly what we did," he continued. Thoughts On Referee’s Decisions On a night which saw both teams being denied of a potential goal due to the referee’s decisions, Carles Cuadrat expressed his dissent by saying, “It’s a problem that Indian football has, I really don’t understand what drives the referees to make such decisions when they’re not 100% sure about it themselves. I was shown the yellow card for asking the referee questions on his decisions, there are many other managers that repeatedly ask for so many things, but they aren’t booked for it. Such inconsistency is unacceptable.” Carles Cuadrat was asked if he feels the remaining fixtures of Bengaluru FC will be easier after having faced most of the top sides in the league. “I do not take it lightly, each team in the league have been preparing well, we’re the champions and it is definitely a challenge for them. Every game is bringing us different situations, we expect a lot of intensity, a lot of challenges.” [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News | Article Continues Below"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS] Speaking about winning the game with just one goal coming from a set-piece he said that, “There are a lot of things to be happy about, we managed to get a clean sheet, we played good football, stuck to our basics and the result is just a reward for all those minutes you work in training”. The Boss spoke about Raphael Augusto's influence in the team, he said "We have very fast players on both our flanks, even the substitutes that come on later are very fast, Raphael creates space allowing them to get into the gaps and attack, he has been very good for us in our movements and is an important player".Latest News
