The tactician spoke after a dominating display by his team against the Red and Gold Brigade.
Hyderabad FC secured an important 4-0 win over SC East Bengal in the Indian Super League 2021-22 season, which took them to the top of the league table. Manolo Marquez's men lead the pack with 20 points, ahead of Kerala Blasters on goal-difference. A glorious hat-trick by Bartholomew Ogbeche and another by Aniket Jadhav sunk SCEB to the bottom of the standings.
Manolo Marquez was livid with the draw in the reverse fixture against the same opponents. However, he was pleased with his team’s performance this time around. He was full of praise while talking about the match during the post-match interaction with the media. Talking about the clinical finishing and being solid defensively, the boss was brimming with delight.
Here is what the tactician said at the post-match press conference after Hyderabad FC’s win over SC East Bengal:
Analysis of the game
Speaking on the match and whether SC East Bengal made the result easier for the Nizams, Marquez said, “No, I think we were very clinical. At the moment when we were winning 1-0, they were attacking too. We are more dangerous, especially in the first half.”

Impressed with the defence
Summarizing the defensive performance of his team that recorded another clean-sheet, the Spaniard said, “You are always happy when you get a clean-sheet. (Laxmikant) Kattimani made a very good save with the penalty.
"If we are the team that concedes fewer goals, we will finish in the top four. I am very happy to score four. If we don’t concede goals, we can at least not lose games.”

Happy to have Ogbeche
Commenting on whether Bartholomew Ogbeche is the best player in the league, the HFC boss said, “He is the top scorer in the league. I think he is a very good player with a lot of experience.
"This is his fourth season in the ISL and he has scored goals every year. We are happy that he plays with Hyderabad. But, I am very happy with Javier Siverio.”
