The Mariners paid a transfer fee to FC Sochaux-Montbeliard for his accquisition.
Guinean international and Paul Pogba's elder brother Florentin Pogba has signed for ATK Mohun Bagan on a two-year deal. The centre-back, who turns 32 in August, joins the Mariners from Ligue 2 club FC Sochaux-Montbeliard. He is the latest foreign acquisition for the Mariners after Australian defender Brendan Hamill.
Florentin, who had a year left on his contract with Sochaux, joins ATKMB after both clubs reached an agreement on the transfer fee required to go through with the move. He had joined Les Lionceaux in May 2020 on a two-year contract.

"Although a year remained in his contract with Sochaux, Florentin wanted to explore a new championship and will join Indian club ATK Mohun Bagan," the Ligue 2 club said in its statement.
During his time with Doubs, Florentin played 62 matches in the French second division and assisted once.
Apart from Sochaux, the 31-year-old turned out for multiple French clubs, including AS Saint-Etienne, who he represented in Ligue 1, the top division of French football. Florentin played 99 matches, across four seasons, in Ligue 1 for The Greens scoring and assisting twice each.

Although he's majorly played in France, this won't be Florentin's first move away from the country. In 2018 after leaving Saint-Etienne, he joined Turkish club Genclerbirligi on a short-term contract. Post that, he moved to the Major League Soccer (MLS) and signed for Atalanta United. He lifted two titles with the Five Stripes in 2019.
ATK Mohun Bagan's pre-season preparations for ISL 2022/23
Florentin Pogba becomes the second straight foreign signing for Juan Ferrando's side following the arrival of fellow defender Brendan Hamill. Domestically too, ATK Mohun Bagan have made some big-name signings. The Mariners have roped in Ashique Kuruniyan (Bengaluru FC), Asish Rai (Hyderabad FC), Lalrinliana Hnamte and Vishal Kaith. The club have also extended the contracts of Kiyan Nassiri, Ravi Rana and Carl McHugh.
There have also been a host of departures from the club with Roy Krishna and David Williams, the headliners. Prabir Das, SK Sahil, Michael Soosairaj, Bidyananda Singh and veteran goalkeeper Subrata Pal have all bid adieu to the club. Among these, David Williams, Prabir Das and Michael Soosairaj have already signed for fellow ISL clubs.
