Mumbai FC close to signing three new Indian players
Amidst a lot of new speculation and changes, Mumbai Football club is trying to re-fresh things up with three new signings. Sources close to Khel Now have informed that the Yellow Submarine is close to signing three new players for this season of the I-league.
Mumbai FC had started the season well, their coach Santosh Kashyap even announcing that they’re targeting a top-three finish. The club did win its first two games, defeating DSK Shivajians in a Mumbai Derby. Post that, they seem to have lost their way with six defeats and 2 draws.
There has been a lot of recent drama with Steven Dias, Allan Dias and Pratik Chowdhary asked to leave the club. Khel Now published a report which saw fans unleash a revolt against the move and might have seen the club taking a back-step.

While the players and the coach have kissed-and-made-up, the club seems to be in dire need of new players. Thus, the management has zeroed in on three players: Jaoquin Abranches, Baljit Sahni and Mohammed Rafi. Abranches played for FC Goa in the Indian Super League, while Sahni plied his trade for Chennaiyin FC. Maverick striker Mohammed Rafi played a lot of games for Kerala Blasters, taking them to the finals of the ISL.
All three players will help to revamp the team attackingly and would give the side a new impetus, something Santosh Kashyap needs badly.
