Arsenal deserved more than a draw believes Pierre Emerick Aubameyang
The Gabon International yet again found himself on the score sheet.
Arsenal made a spirited comeback back from two goals down to salvage a 2-2 draw against Tottenham in exciting North London derby at the Emirates. Goals from Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane gave the visitors a 2-0 lead in the first half but Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette pulled one back before the half time and Aubameyang levelled in 71st minute.
The former Borussia Dortmund man spoke to Arsenal.com after the game and gave his thoughts about the game by saying, “In the first half I think we maybe deserved to score two goals, but then that’s what happened. We’re not happy with that, but we did a great job and played well in a tough game. We deserved more.”
When quizzed if the goals conceded by Arsenal were preventable he said, “Yes, I think so. I think after those two goals we started to put on the pressure and we tried to push a lot and Laca scored the first one. In the second half, we had some chances and we scored the second one. I think we had the space to score the third one, but as I’ve said, it was a tough game so it’s a draw tonight.”
He also believed that Lacazette’s timing for the goal was crucial and he further elaborated his case and quipped “That was so important because when you go into the dressing room with a goal it’s always positive. Everybody knows that we have more power and we would come back stronger in the second half, so I think it’s crucial for us to come back.

He was asked if he likes to play as a striker upfront, he expressed his willingness and added, “I’ve always said, I like to play striker, but when the team needs me on the wing, no matter what I’ll go there and I’ll try my best."
