We have to take out learnings-Rogers

DSK Shivajians started their I-league campaign with a 1-0 defeat against Mumbai FC in a match played at Cooperage Ground on Sunday evening. Shivajians’ chief coach Dave Rogers was disappointed with the loss but was satisfied with his team’s performance.
“I am quite disappointed because we created many chances but failed to score. The boys are a little bit down because they had created many open chances but could not finish them, that’s football, but I am proud of my boys,” Rogers said.
He further added “Lots of young players made their debut tonight which is great for the club and Indian football,”
Mumbai played without any foreigners in the line-up but Rogers never took them lightly and said, “It is not about where you come from in football, it is about whether the manager gets the best out of his players. It is about what you do with your players and how you develop them.”

“Tonight is not about mistakes, it is about learning as a coach and as a group of players.” He signed off.
