But, the Italian also wants his team to adapt to different game situations.
Delhi Dynamos take on Mumbai City FC in the capital on Tuesday and speaking to the press ahead of the game manager Gianluca Zambrotta said he was happy with the way his side coped with the potency of their previous opponents, league leaders NorthEast United. Despite the positives Delhi’s inability to finish their chances came in for criticism after the game but the manager said there was no need to change the strategy. “We have done a very good match against NorthEast when you consider that they are one of the best teams in the league. We had a lot of opportunities when we played against them and of course we have to learn how can utilize these opportunities. At this moment there is need to change the strategy as we got a lot opportunities to score,” he explained. In the last game keeper Toni Doblas was seen consciously trying to build from the back and when asked whether this was a deliberate strategy Zambrotta said the tactics have to adapt from game to game. “You can adopt one strategy but it depends on the opposition you have if they press too much off course you have to adapt your strategy in order to arrange your position of your team in the best way. If the opponent team cannot press you too much so you have the opportunity to start from defense in order to organize your play in a different way,” he elaborated. Their last match against NEUFC witnessed a sizeable turnout by the home support and the manager said the fans always provide extra motivation for the players to raise their game. He also added that he likes to prepare his team in a different way for each match. Photo © ISL MediaReport by Khel Now-Content Editor Mrunal Nakashe.
