AC Milan in talks with Manchester United to sign Rasmus Hojlund on loan: Report

Hojlund has given his green light to join the Serie A club.

Negotiations are intensifying as AC Milan look to lure the Manchester United striker to San Siro, and the Italian powerhouse are making quick progress in their pursuit of Rasmus Hojlund.

Transfer news specialist Fabrizio Romano claims that discussions have been going on at the player’s end lately, with Milan outlining their sporting project in great detail and Hojlund becoming more and more amenable to the move.

After arriving for an exorbitant transfer fee, the Danish forward, who joined Man United from Serie A team Atalanta, has failed to succeed at Old Trafford. His efforts have drawn a lot of criticism.

Milan set to provide Hojlund with a fresh start in his career

AC Milan now think they can provide Hojlund the ideal setting to regain his best form and become one of Serie A’s top strikers.

Romano has disclosed AC Milan’s whole bid, which includes a €6 million loan fee for the 2025–2026 campaign, a €45 million buyout clause, and full salary coverage for the player throughout the loan time.

According to insiders, an agreement between the two clubs is approaching, and these aspects are still crucial to the transaction.

It was evident that Hojlund had no future with Man United as soon as the team began searching the market for a new striker.

The Red Devils no longer believe in the attacker’s potential after realising that he has failed to live up to expectations after making a significant investment in him. They spent considerable money this summer to get Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, who will now spearhead their assault this year, for that reason.

Regarding Hojlund’s future, he can now return to Italy, where he is accustomed to his surroundings, which might assist him in restarting his career.

Hojlund has his entire career ahead of him at the young age of 22, but given United’s actions in the transfer market, that future will not be at Old Trafford.
