The Brazilian shot-stopper has three years left on his contract with the Reds

The 30-year-old Brazil international Alisson is reportedly drawing interest from Al-Nassr, a Saudi Pro League team, according to sources from FootMercato.

Alisson, who is covered by an agreement that expires in 2027, has also been identified as a possible target. Raphael Varane of Manchester United and Casemiro are both under consideration for possible trades as well; the latter has announced his departure from Old Trafford.

There may be a lot of activity at Anfield in regard to the ins and outs this summer because the new manager, Arne Slot is the newly appointed man; and some important players who are about to reach the last year of their deals.

Alisson’s injury hit 2023-24 season

Alisson made just 28 Premier League appearances over the 2023-24 season for Liverpool’s first team due to an injury hit season, backup Caoimhin Kelleher occasionally filled in admirably, but is still the clear first pick at Anfield.

The opportunity to work with a custodian of such exceptional rarity will be extremely alluring for new head coach Slot, whose hiring was confirmed with a three-year term last week.

Earlier this season after Virgil van Dijk was sent off, the goalkeeper’s heroics in the turnaround match against Newcastle United in late August kept the 10 men in the game.

Darwin Nunez had the opportunity to score twice in the closing minutes to cap off an incredible away triumph as the host, the Magpies were unable to extend their lead due to a few particularly spectacular saves by Alisson.

Liverpool will be fighting to hang on to one of the best goalkeepers in the league as they try to improve on a revamped roster that saw a lot of change over the summer.

In 2023-24, one of Anfield’s all-time great goalkeepers proved why he has that reputation, but a hamstring injury at one point threatened to ruin his career. Alisson is likely to play a pivotal role under the new head coach next season.
