Birmingham City looking to appoint Frank Lampard as new head coach: Report

Lampard last managed Chelsea as their interim head coach.
Frank Lampard, the former England midfielder, may return to work soon. It has been reported that he was interviewed for Birmingham City’s managerial position.
According to Football Insider, the League One team who hired Wayne Rooney during a terrible time in the club’s recent history doesn’t seem to have learnt their lesson.
Despite his exceptional skill as a player, Lampard, along with Rooney and Steven Gerrard, has not lived up to expectations as a manager. After being fired by Chelsea during his first spell in charge, he performed appallingly once more when invited to return to Stamford Bridge as an interim manager while the team searched for a qualified replacement to take over in the dugout.
Lampard made things worse at Everton when he had the opportunity to mend his reputation. It’s hard to pinpoint the issues, but inspiring his players doesn’t seem to have been a problem.
Is his inability to generate results due to dissatisfaction that his charges aren’t able to do the things that he did well?
Naturally, if Lampard were to be recruited, his first task would undoubtedly be to get the Midlands-based team promoted back to the EFL Championship right away. Birmingham were recently demoted to League One

Strangely, Burnley are also rumoured to be interested in luring Lampard to Turf Moor after Vincent Kompany joined Bayern Munich. So there may be a waiting list for securing his in-demand services.
Craig Bellamy, the current caretaker of Burnley, has shown effectiveness with the team and was a member of Kompany’s backroom. It seems that Alan Pace, the owner of Clarets, would be happy to have Lampard join the team in a permanent role.
It’s difficult to see why any club would choose to take a gamble like this for a manager who only has a 41.3 per cent victory rate.
