At the start of the new Premier League season, the Bees under Andrews suffered their first loss in the opening game of the campaign against Nottingham Forest.

The pressure has already started to creep in, as Keith Andrews will now have to deliver a much-needed win. He doesn’t want to start a new campaign with back-to-back defeats that could worsen the early-season concerns.

Ahead of Saturday’s matchup with Aston Villa, four players who missed Brentford’s loss to Nottingham Forest last weekend are back in training and could be selected.

After becoming a father last weekend, Mikkel Damsgaard missed the 3-1 loss at the City Ground; nevertheless, the midfielder is still eligible to play when the Villans visit TW8.

Due to a minor muscle strain, Ethan Pinnock was unable to play in the Forest game. He and Yunus Emre Konak, who was sidelined with an ankle ligament ailment, have both trained extensively this week. This weekend, both might feature.

Paris Maghoma, who hasn’t played since the conclusion of the previous season and missed the Bees’ preseason tour to Portugal due to a hamstring injury, is another midfielder making a comeback.
