Europa League 2023-24: Quarter-finals draw revealed; Liverpool face Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen face West Ham

Liverpool will take on Atalanta and AS Roma will face AC Milan

West Ham will take on Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Europa League quarterfinals, while Liverpool will play Atalanta. This is still a chance for the Reds to win four championships during Jurgen Klopp’s final season as manager.

Roma and AC Milan, two fierce rivals from Italy, square off in the semi-finals, while Benfica of Portugal faces Marseille of Ligue 1. The first legs are scheduled for April 11 and the second leg on April 18.

In the semi-finals, West Ham are slated to face either AC Milan or Roma, while Liverpool, if they win their match, will play between Benfica or Marseille.

Meanwhile, the winners of the Bundesliga will play between AC Milan or Roma. The dates of the semi-finals are set for May 2 and May 9.The season finale takes place on Wednesday, May 22, at Dublin Arena in the Republic of Ireland. In the round of sixteen, Liverpool defeated Sparta Prague of the Czech Republic 11-2 overall after winning the second leg 6-1 at Anfield on Thursday.Liverpool and Atalanta have already faced off twice, with the Reds emerging victorious 5-0 in Italy and falling 2-0 at home in the 2020–21 Champions League group stage.

The Italian team is now sixth in Serie A and has won five and drawn three of their matches in the Europa League this season.

For the first time, West Ham, the winners of the Europa Conference League the previous year, will play Bayer Leverkusen.

The Hammers defeated Freiburg 5-1 on aggregate after losing 1-0 in the first leg at London Stadium to overcome German opponents in the round of 16.

When they play European teams that are based in Germany, their record is six victories, six losses, and one tie. Leverkusen leads second-placed Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga by ten points. They have won 32 games and drawn five this season, without conceding a loss.
