Fabrício Bruno replaces injured Marquinhos in Brazil's squad for March international break

The Seleção Canarinha will face England and Spain in March break
Brazil manager Dorival Júnior revealed that Marquinhos of Paris Saint-Germain and Gabriel Martinelli of Arsenal were the other two injured players. Flamengo defender Fabrício Bruno and Porto attacker Galeno have taken their places.
The situation deteriorated last month when Brazil, the two-time defending champion, didn’t qualify for the upcoming Olympics in Paris. Brazil’s matches against Spain at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium three days later and England at Wembley Stadium on March 23 are scheduled.
The Football Confederation of Brazil announced on Monday that three uncapped players, including Porto forward Galeno, had been selected for the South American nation’s team for friendlies against England and Spain.Galeno, 26, has led the Portuguese top-flight team in goals scored and assists throughout all competitions this season.
Leo Jardim, the goalkeeper for Vasco da Gama, and Fabricio Bruno, the centre-back for Flamengo, were also recruited by Brazil’s coach Dorival Junior to his team for the matches later this month.

Brazil‘s next matches are against Spain in the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid three days later and England at the Wembley Stadium in London on June 23.Marquinhos’ lack of influence during the 2021–22 Parisians’ Champions League defeat against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu, where they gave up a two-goal lead, drew criticism from the team inside.
The 29-year-old defender has not been able to reach his full potential, according to the club, and they want new blood to take his position.
It has been claimed that Marquinhos of Paris Saint-Germain is eager to sell after his remarks on Kylian Mbappe’s circumstances infuriated club executives.
