Italy at UEFA Euro 2024: Full squad, preview, match schedule, venue, telecast info

The defending champions Azzurri are placed in Group B.
Italy, the defending champions, enter Euro 2024 without the burden of being the favourite. But if they can get out of a difficult group they surely will be a threat to the others on the knockout route.
Azzurri had failed to make it to the 2022 FIFA World Cup. However, under Luciano Spalletti, the team is prepared to move past its disappointments and try to recapture its golden days. Unlike its smooth qualification for Euro 2020, where Italy won all ten of its matches, the team’s place in the upcoming Euro was in jeopardy until the very last game.
Despite winning the previous edition on penalties against England, Italy struggled in the qualifiers this time, losing both matches against England and drawing 0-0 with Ukraine. Due to its difficulties during qualification, Italy were seeded last in the draw and got placed in Group B. It includes Spain, Croatia and Albania – arguably one of the toughest groups.
Following Roberto Mancini’s resignation in August of last year, Luciano Spalletti took over as manager. Spalletti previously guided Napoli to its first Serie A championship since 1990. Can he replicate his success at Napoli with the Italian national team? Only time will tell.
