Kylian Mbappe to join Real Madrid on free transfer: Report
Mbappe confirmed he will leave PSG back in February.
Kylian Mbappe is said to have signed a deal to join Real Madrid as a free agent next season. When his contract with PSG expires later this month, Mbappe, 25, will depart the Ligue 1 team as he said back in February.
The forward who has been linked to Real Madrid for a while, came close to joining Los Blancos in the summer of 2022, before changing his mind and signing a new contract with the French side.
Well-known transfer news reporter Fabrizio Romano now has claimed that everything has been arranged and that Mbappe has signed a deal with the Madrid-based team. He will now officially represent the Spanish powerhouses.
The Italian remarked, “Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid… HERE WE GO,” in a video posted on his X account.
‘The saga is finally over. Kylian Mbappe joins Real Madrid as a free agent at the end of the season.
‘The contract has been signed, the announcement will be really soon, in the next weeks, but Real Madrid will have one more star in their squad. Kylian Mbappe joins from PSG and it’s an historic HERE WE GO.’
After seven years of chasing Mbappe, it was reported in February that Real Madrid, the Champions League winners on Saturday, had come to a contract agreement with the forward which would see the player come on a free transfer in the summer with an £85.5m signing-on fee.

Since then, however, there has been no formal statement regarding his future. Mbappe stated in March that one will be made prior to this summer’s Euro 2024 in Germany, where he will serve as captain of France.
Even though it was anticipated that Mbappe would leave PSG since last summer, he didn’t formally announce his departure until Friday, May 10, when he penned an emotional statement to the team’s supporters via social media.
