These wonderkids have already started to make their mark
The football world is very fast. Seasons come and go. And fans are always on the lookout for the next big thing. They love to associate themselves with their journey so be it from afar and see their beautiful rise.
We now see teens of the past dominate the footballing landscape like Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe to name a few. Chances are the following ten will also have a wonderful and bright career ahead. But nothing in football can be taken for granted. Still, these teens present themselves with high hopes and are progressing well in their respective clubs. Here are the top U17 wonderkids in football.
10. Ayyoub Bouaddi (16, LOSC Lille)
Ayyoub Bouaddi stands at 1.75 metres tall and is just 16 years old. The French U17 international came through the youth system of LOSC Lille and has made it to the senior team. This season happens to be his breakthrough season where up to now the central midfielder has made 6 appearances in the Ligue 1.
9. George Ilenikhena (17, Royal Antwerp)
The Belgium outfit Royal Antwerp have high hopes for the youngster as they had signed him back in July 2023. At that point in time, George Ilenikhena was just 16 and a sum of €6.5 million was paid as a transfer fee to his old club Amiens SC. The left-footed striker has 8 goals and an assist after featuring in 28 Jupiler Pro League games.
8. Franco Mastantuono (16, River Plate)
Another left-footed talent but one who plays in the attacking midfield position or occasionally as a right winger. Franco Mastantuono was born in August 2007 and is now 16. The U17 Argentina international recently signed fresh contract terms with River Plate. The deal has €45 million release clause.
7. Francesco Camarda (16, AC Milan)
Do you know who is the youngest ever baller to take the pitches of Serie A? The answer is Francesco Camarda. At just 15, AC Milan had utilised the teenager as a substitute against Fiorentina back in November 2023. The stocks of the centre forward are still quite high.

6. Lewis Miley (17, Newcastle United)
Playing in the Premier League is already a challenge, imagine doing it at just 17. That’s what Lewis Miley is doing day in and day out for Newcastle United. Head coach Eddie Howe has utilised Miley so far in 17 league games that happen to produce a goal and two assists. He also has an assist after making 3 UEFA Champions League appearances.
5. Estevao Willian (16, Palmeiras)
Chelsea might have some bad news in their pursuit of the Brazilian wonderkid. As per reports, FC Barcelona are ramping up their interest in Estevão Willian and looking to hijack the deal. He goes by the nickname of ‘Messinho’ for a reason. The left-footed player is accustomed to the right-winger position.
4. Kendry Paez (16, Chelsea FC)
Chelsea signed the teenager in June 2023 for around £17.2 million. The move however won’t be realised until May 2025. At the moment, Kendry Páez is playing for the Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle. The left-footed gives similarities in playing style to the likes of Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria.
3. Pau Cubarsi (17, FC Barcelona)
Pau Cubarsí has already turned himself into a reliable player. The 17-year-old centre-back perfectly holds the defensive solidarity of FC Barcelona at such a young age. In just the Spanish first tier, Cubarsí has 11 appearances this ongoing season. He played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 win over UD Las Palmas yesterday night.
2. Endrick (17, Real Madrid CF)
The teenager has a move pending to the mighty Real Madrid. But he has already made the world aware about his stature in the Wembley Stadium. In an international friendly between England and Brazil held on March 24, Endrick scored his first senior team goal after coming on as a substitute. And it was his goal that helped his nation win 1-0. What better way to announce your bright future?
1. Lamine Yamal (16, FC Barcelona)
Two clubs that always tend to keep the best talents are Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. One such talent that found his way to the Blaugrana is Lamine Yamal. At just 16, Barca gives him consistent game time. In 29 LaLiga appearances, Yamal has contributed with 4 goals and 6 assists. The player also has made 8 UCL appearances which produced an assist. Keep your eyes on him and Endrick for future El Clásicos.
