Battle of the top two from Group H of the 2026 FIFA World Cup African Qualifiers.

Namibia are currently occupying the second spot in Group H of the 2026 FIFA World Cup African Qualifiers, having gathered seven points from their opening three matches. They have secured wins over Equatorial Guinea and Sao Tome and Principe in the opening two games. In the last match, however, they drew against Liberia, conceding their first goal of the campaign.

Tunisia are the only team in Group H to win all their matches. The Eagles of Carthage have so far dominated the group, scoring the most goals as well as not conceding a single one so far. They started the World Cup Qualifying campaign with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Sao Tome and Principe followed by a narrow 1-0  win over Malawi. In the last match, they beat Equatorial Guinea, maintaining their 100% record in the competition.

Kick-Off:

Sunday, 9 June at 9:30 PM IST

Location – Orlando Stadium

Form:

Namibia (in all competitions): D-L-D-L-W

Tunisia (in all competitions): W-D-D-D-D

Player to Watch

Deon Hotto (Namibia)

Deon Hotto had a good season with Orlando Pirates, scoring one goal and providing five assists in 27 matches. Hotto is an exciting winger who likes to take on defenders using his pace and trickery to cut onto his favoured right foot to score goals.

He has made over 37 appearances for the national side since making his debut in 2013. At 33-years-old, he has enough experience of playing which can be useful for the team.

Ellyes Skhiri (Tunisia)

Ellyes Skhiri plays his club football for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. Last season, he made 27 appearances for the team, scoring two goals and providing an assist. He plays in the central midfielder position for the team and is equally adept at playing in the defensive midfielder role.

Skhiri will be tasked to create chances for the Tunisia team as well as providing defensive solidarity to the back four in this World Cup Qualifier. The 29-year-old has made over 54 appearances for the national team.
