Premier League 2025-26: How every club could lineup?

Many clubs might use a different approach in the new season to win games.
With the Premier League 2025-26 season almost upon us, clubs will be bracing themselves for the new campaign. Some might fight to avoid relegation, while others will be challenging for the title once again.
In this piece, we have covered how all the Premier League clubs could line up going into the new season. Take a look below.
Bournemouth
The previous season, Bournemouth broke their Premier League point record of 56. It will be interesting to see if their clever head coach, Andoni Iraola, can lead them to further heights in 2025–2026.
Nobody won the ball in forward areas more frequently or caused more high turnovers than Iraola’s team did the previous season. It will be difficult to put together a new defence as strong as the one from last season, after losing all their key defenders this summer transfer window.
Tempo and intensity are always key components in the 4-2-3-1 formation that their Spanish head coach deployed in all 38 of their games last season. The quick Antoine Semenyo poses a threat down either wing, Justin Kluivert is a fantastic finisher when running from deep, and Brazilian attacker Evanilson enjoys intimidating opponents.
Bournemouth predicted lineup: 4-2-3-1: Petrovic; Smith, Diakite, Sensei, Truffert; Cook, Scott; Tavernier, Kluivert, Semenyo; Evanilson
Bournemouth’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Djordje Petrovic, Alex Paulsen, Will Dennis
- Defenders: Adam Smith, Julian Araujo, James Hill, Marcos Senesi, Chris Mepham, Adrien Truffert, Julio Soler, Bafode Diakite, Owen Bevan
- Midfielders: Lewis Cook, Philip Billing, Romain Faivre, Alex Scott, Tyler Adams, Ben Winterburn, Marcus Tavernier, David Brooks, Ryan Christie, Hamed Traore
- Forwards: Evanilson, Enes Unal, Eli Kroupi, Daniel Adu-Adjei, Justin Kluivert, Antoine Semenyo, Dango Ouattara, Luis Sinisterra
Arsenal

After three straight second-place finishes, Mikel Arteta plans to stick with his possession-based 4-3-3 system in 2025–2026 and hopes it will help Arsenal win a championship.
Arsenal need more ‘chaos’ in their attacking style because they scored 22 fewer goals in the previous season than they did in 2023–2024. Arteta will be hoping that Viktor Gyokeres’ straightforward style will give his forward line a new and intriguing dimension because it can be too formulaic at times.
Play will be stretched more successfully by the Swede’s quickness and willingness to run the channels. Arsenal might be much more effective on the counterattack with their new acquisition at the head of the line.
Arsenal predicted lineup: 4-3-3: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Odegaard, Zubimendi, Rice; Saka, Gyokeres, Martinelli
Arsenal’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: David Raya, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Karl Hein
- Defenders: Jurrien Timber, Ben White, William Saliba, Christhian Mosquera, Gabriel Maghalaes, Jakub Kiwior, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Riccardo Calafiori, Oleksandr Zinchenko
- Midfielders: Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Declan Rice, Mikel Merino, Martin Odegaard, Ethan Nwaneri, Fabio Vieira
- Forwards: Viktor Gyokeres, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke, Max Dowman, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Reiss Nelson
Aston Villa
Aston Villa have had a quiet transfer window and have not yet acquired a player to bolster Unai Emery’s starting lineup.
However, it isn’t necessary to make repairs right away. The Villans have established a distinct identity over the past two seasons, which has presented challenges for a number of elite opponents.
Villa’s set-piece prowess should also not be undervalued. They put a lot of effort into creating ingenious corner and free-kick routines. In 2024–2025, they scored 16 goals from dead-ball situations. In the division, it was the second-best record.
They do a great job of minimising space for opponents to pass the ball through midfield by pressing in a narrow 4-4-2 that is intended to clog central areas while simultaneously forcing their back four up towards the halfway line.
Aston Villa predicted lineup: 4-2-3-1: Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Torres, Maatsen; Kamara, McGinn; Bailey, Tielemans, Rogers; Watkins
Aston Villa’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Emi Martinez, Marco Bizot
- Defenders: Matty Cash, Andres Garcia, Ezri Konsa, Lamare Bogarde, Pau Torres, Tyrone Mings, Ian Maatsen, Lucas Digne, Alex Moreno
- Midfielders: Boubacar Kamara, Amadou Onana, Leander Dendoncker, Youri Tielemans, Ross Barkley, Leon Bailey, Jacob Ramsey, John McGinn, Emi Buendia
- Forwards: Ollie Watkins, Evann Guessand, Donyell Malen, Lewis Dobbin, Samuel Iling Junior, Morgan Rogers
Brentford
In his first management position, Keith Andrews has a lot of work ahead of him after the Bees lost their captain, head coach, and top forward this summer.
Under Thomas Frank, they were generally adaptable in their system, customising it for every opponent. Under the former Republic of Ireland player, that is unlikely to alter. Known for his keen tactical insight and analysis, Andrews is a conscientious coach and will use the 4-2-3-1 system.
Brentford predicted lineup: 4-2-3-1: Kelleher; Kayode, Collins, Pinnock, Henry; Henderson, Janelt; Carvalho, Damsgaard Schade; Wissa
Brentford’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Caoimhin Kelleher, Hakon Valdimarsson
- Defenders: Michael Kayode, Mads Roerslev, Nathan Collins, Kristoffer Ajer, Ethan Pinnock, Sepp van den Berg, Rico Henry, Aaron Hickey, Jayden Meghoma
- Midfielders: Jordan Henderson, Yehor Yarmolyuk, Paris Maghoma, Vitaly Janelt, Mathias Jensen, Frank Onyeka, Yunus Konak, Fabio Carvalho, Myles Peart-Harris, Romelle Donovan, Mikkel Damsgaard, Antoni Milambo, Kevin Schade
- Forwards: Yoane Wissa, Igor Thiago, Gustavo Nunes, Keane Lewis-Potter
Brighton & Hove Albion
Fabian Hurzeler, the youngest manager in the Premier League, led Brighton to a satisfactory eighth-place finish in a very promising maiden season (2024-25).
The Seagulls are now a team that places much less importance on heavy possession, according to the tactical changes made by the 32-year-old German. In a 4-2-3-1, or sometimes a 4-4-2, Brighton always carries a positive mantra.
Brighton prefers to push high, but this time, they need to improve their counterattack and defence. They let up a league-high ten goals on fast breaks the previous season. However, they will rarely lack inventiveness because their attacking midfield department is so strong and deep.
Brighton predicted lineup: 4-2-3-1: Verbruggen; Veltman, Van Hecke, Dunk, De Cuyper; Baleba, Ayari; Minteh, Rutter, Mitoma; Welbeck
Brighton’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Bart Verbruggen, Jason Steele, Tom McGill
- Defenders: Joel Veltman, Tariq Lamptey, Jan-Paul van Hecke, Adam Webster, Diego Coppola, Lewis Dunk, Igor Julio, Olivier Boscagli, Maxim De Cuyper, Ferdi Kadioglu
- Midfielders: Carlos Baleba, Mats Wieffer, James Milner, Yasin Ayari, Jack Hinshelwood, Diego Gomez, Brajan Gruda, Solly March, Kaoru Mitoma, Matt O’Riley, Facundo Buonanotte, Julio Enciso, Jeremy Sarmiento, Malick Yalcouye, Andrew Moran
- Forwards: Danny Welbeck, Charalampos Kostoulas, Yankuba Minteh, Georginio Rutter, Tom Watson, Abdallah Sima, Stefanos Tzimas
Burnley
Burnley’s greatest strength in 2024–2025 was defensive consistency, as their strong backfield set the stage for an outstanding promotion push.
Scott Parker’s 4-2-3-1 is incredibly well-structured. The Clarets players will put forth extra effort to press and shut off opponents when out of possession, turning the system into a 4-5-1.
They will feel they have the fortitude to withstand a step up in level after giving up just 16 goals in 46 games, the fewest ever in a Championship season.
Brunely predicted lineup: 4-2-3-1: Dubravaka; Walker, Ekdal, Esteve, Hartman; Cullen, Ugochukwu; Edwards, Mejbri, Anthony; Broja
Burnley’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Martin Dubravka, Max Weiss, Vaclav Hladky
- Defenders: Kyle Walker, Connor Roberts, Oliver Sonne, Shurandy Sambo, Hjalmar Ekdal, Jordan Beyer, Joe Worrall, Axel Tuanzebe, Maxime Esteve, Hannes Delcroix, Quilindschy Hartman, Bashir Humphreys, Lucas Pires
- Midfielders: Josh Cullen, Lesley Ugochukwu, Josh Laurent, Marcus Edwards, Loum Tchaouna, Hannibal Mejbri, Aaron Ramsey, Jaidon Anthony, Manuel Benson,
- Forwards: Armando Broja, Zian Flemming, Lyle Foster, Ashley Barnes, Jacob Bruun Larsen, Zeki Amdouni, Luca Koleosho, Mike Tresor
Chelsea

Chelsea’s strong man-to-man press throughout the field smothered Luis Enrique’s team as they thrashed PSG in the FIFA Club World Cup Final.
Although Enzo Maresca has employed this strategy numerous times, its success in that extravaganza could make it a more recognisable stratagem.
The head coach of the Blues intends to dominate possession in the first-choice 4-2-3-1 system.
Despite having the second-highest Expected Goals (xG) total, six teams outscored the Blues in the previous campaign.
Chelsea’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Robert Sanchez, Filip Jorgensen, Gaga Slonina
- Defenders: Reece James, Malo Gusto, Alfie Gilchrist, Tosin Adarabioyo, Trevoh Chalobah, Wesley Fofana, Josh Acheampong, Axel Disasi, Jorrel Hato, Renato Veiga, Benoit Badiashile, Levi Colwill, Marc Cucurella, Ben Chilwell, Aaron Anselmino
- Midfielders: Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Dario Essugo, Enzo Fernandez, Andrey Santos, Mykhailo Mudryk, Carney Chukwuemeka, Omari Kellyman, Cole Palmer
- Forwards: Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Nicolas Jackson, Tyrique George, David Fofana, Pedro Neto, Estevao Willian, Christopher Nkunku, Jamie Gittens, Raheem Sterling
Chelsea predicted lineup: 4-2-3-1: Sanchez; James, Adarabioyo, Hato, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Neto, Palmer, Gittens; Pedro
Crystal Palace
Regaining possession of the ball is one of their strengths. The FA Cup and Community Shield winners put more “pressure” on opposing players thanks to their tireless efforts and 3-2-4-1 shape under Oliver Glasner.
The fact that Palace had recovered more turnovers from pressures than any other team by the conclusion of 2024–2025 was not surprising.
At set pieces, Glasner’s guys also have a strong physical presence. Every time they have a corner or a wide free-kick, they should be respected because they scored 16 goals from dead-ball situations last season.
Crystal Palace predicted lineup: 3-4-2-1: Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Wharton, Kamada, Mitchell; Sarr, Eze; Mateta
Crystal Palace’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson, Walter Benitez, Remi Matthews
- Defenders: Chris Richards, Nathaniel Clyne, Maxence Lacroix. Chadi Riad, Marc Guehi, Daniel Munoz, Caleb Kporha, Tyrick Mitchell, Borna Sosa
- Midfielders: Adam Wharton, Will Hughes, Justin Devenny, Daichi Kamada, Jefferson Lerma, Cheick Doucoure, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, Eberechi Eze, Romain Esse, Naouirou Ahamada
- Forwards: Jean-Philippe Mateta, Eddie Nketiah, Odsonne Edouard, Ismaila Sarr, Matheus Franca
Everton
After returning to Everton in January, David Moyes did a fantastic job leading the team out of the relegation zone and into 13th position in the final standings.
Whether in a well-practised 4-5-1 system or a 4-2-3-1 configuration, his tactical style is still based on defensive power. Moyes is trying to give his starting lineup more flair, but Everton’s tactics won’t be particularly daring.
Everton predicted lineup: 4-4-1-1: Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; McNeil, Gueye, Dewsbury-Hall, Grealish; Ndiaye; Beto
Everton’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Jordan Pickford, Mark Travers, Harry Tyrer
- Defenders: Jake O’Brien, Nathan Patterson, Seamus Coleman, James Tarkowski, Jarrad Branthwaite, Michael Keane, Vitaliy Mykolenko, Adam Aznou
- Midfielders: Charly Alcaraz, James Garner, Idrissa Gueye, Harrison Armstrong, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Tim Iroegbunam, Jack Grealish
- Forwards: Beto, Thierno Barry, Youssef Chermiti, Dwight McNeil, Iliman Ndiaye
Fulham
Fulham, led by Marco Silva, is a beautiful team to watch because of their strategic focus on a deft pass-and-move game.
They move the ball through the thirds quite effectively in a fairly straightforward 4-2-3-1 formation; in fact, the Cottagers, who finished 11th in the table, made more effective passes inside the final third than the top four teams from the previous season.
When Fulham don’t have the ball, they like to push, but Silva changed his strategy against Liverpool and Arsenal last season, which is noteworthy.
What do they need to work on? Fulham, who scored a division-low four goals from corners and wide free kicks last season, will undoubtedly aim to increase their output in these areas.
Fulham predicted lineup: 4-2-3-1: Leno; Tete, Anderson, Bassey, Robinson; Lukic, Berge; Traore, Rowe, Iwobi; Jimenez
Fulham’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Bernd Leno, Benjamin Lecomte
- Defenders: Kenny Tete, Timothy Castagne, Joachim Andersen, Issa Diop, Calvin Bassey, Jorge Cuenca, Antonee Robinson, Ryan Sessegnon
- Midfielders: Sasa Lukic, Harrison Reed, Sander Berge, Tom Cairney, Harry Wilson, Emile Smith Rowe, Andreas Pereira, Josh King, Alex Iwobi
- Forwards: Raul Jimenez, Rodrigo Muniz, Adama Traore, Martial Godo
Leeds United
How will Daniel Farke modify Leeds United’s strategy for playing in the Premier League?
The German has accumulated 190 points over two Championship campaigns thanks to his attack-minded style of play and possession-based strategy in a 4-2-3-1. But in 2025–2026, it seems like a more practical approach might be worthwhile to consider.
Leeds might think about moving to a 4-3-3 shape as well. The No. 10 position lacks a notable playmaker, yet Farke’s team is brimming with excellent central and box-to-box midfield players.
Leeds United predicted lineup: 4-2-3-1: Perri; Bogle, Rodon, Bijol, Gudmundsson; Empadu, Tanaka; James, Longstaff, Harrison; Piroe
Leeds’ squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Lucas Perri, Karl Darlow, Ilian Meslier
- Defenders: Jayden Bogle, Isaac Schmidt, Joe Rodon, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Jaka Bijol, Pascal Struijk, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sam Byram
- Midfielders: Ethan Ampadu, Anton Stach, Ao Tanaka, Ilia Gruev, Dan James, Jack Harrison, Sean Longstaff, Brenden Aaronson
- Forwards: Joel Piroe, Lukas Nmecha, Patrick Bamford, Wilfried Gnonto, Largie Ramazani
Liverpool

Since his first season with Liverpool ended with a resounding victory, Arne Slot has overseen a significant overhaul of his all-conquering team.
Liverpool struck the ideal balance the previous season. They have the ability to dominate games with the ball, but they can also be extremely damaging when countering. They can hurt you in a variety of ways. Slot’s calm, collected approach was excellent.
Will they be able to uphold the same exceptional standards? With a 4-2-3-1 system, Liverpool will be extremely difficult to stop if they can.
Liverpool predicted lineup: 4-2-3-1: Alisson; Frimpong, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo; Ekitike
Liverpool’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Alisson Becker, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Freddie Woodman, Armin Pecsi
- Defenders: Jeremie Frimpong, Conor Bradley, Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Milos Kerkez, Andy Robertson, Kostas Tsimikas, Rhys Williams, Calvin Ramsay
- Midfielders: Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones, Wataru Endo, Alexis Mac Allister, Stefan Bajcetic, Florian Wirtz, Dominik Szoboszlai, Harvey Elliott, Trey Nyoni
- Forwards: Mohamed Salah, Hugo Ekitike, Federico Chiesa, Ben Doak, Cody Gakpo, Rio Ngumoha
Manchester City
After Manchester City’s poor season, we are expecting a strong, decisive reaction from Pep Guardiola.
It will be interesting to see if City’s head coach sticks with the new 4-3-2-1 system he experimented with in the Club World Cup in the early going of the new campaign.
Although Rodri’s return will be beneficial, they haven’t been pressing hard lately, leaving them open to counterattacks and long balls that are thrown over the top. It is necessary to address the weakness.
Manchester City predicted lineup: 4-3-2-1: Trafford; Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, Ait-Nouri; Silva, Rodri, Reijnders; Cherki, Doku; Haaland
Man City’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: James Trafford, Ederson, Stefan Ortega, Marcus Bettinelli
- Defenders: Matheus Nunes, Rico Lewis, Ruben Dias, John Stones, Abdukodir Khusanov, Josko Gvardiol, Manuel Akanji, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Nathan Ake, Nico O’Reilly
- Midfielders: Bernardo Silva, Mateo Kovacic, Rodri, Nico Gonzalez, Kalvin Phillips, Tijjani Reijnders, Ilkay Gundogan, Sverre Nypan, Rayan Cherki, James McAtee, Oscar Bobb, Claudio Echeverri, Phil Foden
- Forwards: Erling Haaland, Omar Marmoush, Savinho, Jeremy Doku
Manchester United

We are aware of what to anticipate from Manchester United under Ruben Amorim in terms of tactics. They will start in a 3-4-2-1 formation, but their players’ performance in that system needs to drastically improve after a dismal 15th-place finish.
For his strategies to be effective, the midfield of Manchester United lack the athleticism, movement, and high levels of conditioning that Amorim requires. They will struggle to solve their issues if the middle third isn’t dynamic.
Manchester United predicted lineup: 3-4-2-1: Onana; Yoro, De Ligt, Martinez; Amad, Fernandes, Ugarte, Dorgu; Mbeumo, Cunha; Sesko
Man Utd’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Andre Onana, Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton
- Defenders: Leny Yoro, Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Ayden Heaven, Diogo Dalot, Patrick Dorgu, Diego Leon, Tyrell Malacia, Harry Amass, Tyler Fredricson
- Midfielders: Kobbie Mainoo, Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte, Toby Collyer, Mason Mount, Bruno Fernandes, Amad
- Forwards: Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, Rasmus Hojlund, Joshua Zirkzee, Chido Obi, Alejandro Garnacho, Jaden Sancho, Bryan Mbeumo, Antony
Newcastle United
We completely anticipate the Newcastle United manager to return to his preferred 4-3-3 early in the new season, even if Eddie Howe experimented with a back three towards the conclusion of the last one.
Newcastle United’s exceptional toughness in centre midfield and pace in forward areas are the two key components that distinguish them as a top team.
The combative midfield of Tonali, Joelinton, and Bruno Guimaraes is designed to damage you from turnovers. They regularly create excellent opportunities for players like Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak.
Newcastle predicted lineup: 4-3-2-1: Ramsdale; Livramento, Schar, Burn, Hall; Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton; Elanga, Gordon; Isak
Newcastle’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Aaron Ramsdale, Nick Pope, Odysseas Vlachodimos
- Defenders: Tino Livramento, Kieran Trippier, Harrison Ashby, Fabian Schar, Emil Krafth, Jamaal Lascelles, Dan Burn, Sven Botman, Lewis Hall, Matt Targett, Malick Thiaw, Alex Murphy
- Midfielders: Bruno Guimaraes, Lewis Miley, Sandro Tonali, Joelinton, Joe Willock, Harvey Barnes, Jacob Murphy
- Forwards: Alexander Isak, William Osula, Anthony Elanga, Anthony Gordon
Nottingham Forest
A master of positional organisation, astute head coach Nuno Espirito Santo uses a strong back four that is adequately shielded by the midfield in front of them. The surprise package from last season is certain they hold off opponents and will be happy to take pressure once more in their go-to 4-2-3-1 formation.
For Forest, set pieces will also play a role. They carried a serious danger every time they stood over a dead ball last season, scoring the most goals (17) from corners and wide free kicks.
Nottingham Forest predicted lineup: 4-2-3-1: Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams; Dominguez, Anderson; Ndoye, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood
Nott’m Forest’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Matz Sels, Angus Gunn, Carlos Miguel
- Defenders: Ola Aina, Nikola Milenkovic, Jair Cunha, Willy Boly, Murillo, Morato, David Carmo, Neco Williams, Omar Richards
- Midfielders: Nicolas Dominguez, Ryan Yates, Marko Stamenic, Elliot Anderson, Ibrahim Sangare, Morgan Gibbs-White, Josh Bowler
- Forwards: Chris Wood, Igor Jesus, Taiwo Awoniyi, Dan Ndoye, Jota Silva, Eric da Silva Moreira, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Emmanuel Dennis
Sunderland
Regis Le Bris showed himself to be a very astute and flexible coach when he led Sunderland to an unexpected promotion.
At different times, the Black Cats employed a 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3, and 4-4-2 depending on the opponents they faced and the players available. This adaptability is probably going to persist in the top division, which might make it challenging to question the Wearsiders’ strategy.
We saw a lot of Le Bris’s high-tempo, attacking football in 2024–2025, with overloads out wide and fast-paced passing as a defining characteristic of their style.
Sunderland predicted lineup: 4-3-2-1: Patterson; Hume, Ballard, O’Nien, Mandava; Neil, Diarra, Xhaka; Taibi, Adingara; Mayenda
Sunderland’s squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Anthony Patterson, Robin Roefs, Blondy Nna Noukeu, Simon Moore
- Defenders: Trai Hume, Timothee Pembele, Niall Huggins, Dan Ballard, Nectarios Triantis, Jenson Seelt, Luke O’Nien, Aji Alese, Leo Hjelde, Reinildo, Dennis Cirkin, Arthur Masuaku, Omar Alderete
- Midfielders: Dan Neil, Chris Rigg, Alan Browne, Abdoullah Ba, Habib Diarra, Noah Sadiki, Jay Matete, Granit Xhaka, Pierre Ekwah, Patrick Roberts, Enzo Le Fee
- Forwards: Simon Adingra, Romaine Mundle, Milan Aleksic, Eliezer Mayenda, Marc Guiu, Wilson Isidor, Nazariy Rusyn, Luis Semedo, Ian Poveda, Chemsdine Talbi
Tottenham Hotspur

The versatile head coach Thomas Frank will undoubtedly leave his mark on Tottenham Hotspur’s style of play.
We might see the Dane adopt a horses-for-courses posture because he employed a number of different systems at Brentford, but 4-3-3 is the most likely configuration. With the loan signing of Joao Palhinha, he has logically strengthened the team’s weakest position, central midfield.
The defensive midfielder will probably be flanked by twin box-to-box players. Frank will occasionally use 4-2-3-1 as well.
Tottenham predicted lineup: 4-3-2-1: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Palhinha, Bergvall; Kudus, Odobert; Solanke
Spurs’ squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Guglielmo Vicario, Antonin Kinsky, Brandon Austin
- Defenders: Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Radu Dragasin, Kota Takai, Micky van de Ven, Kevin Danso, Luka Vuskovic, Djed Spence, Destiny Udogie, Ben Davies
- Midfielders: Pape Sarr, Dejan Kulusevski, Yves Bissouma, Joao Palhinha, Rodrigo Bentancur, Lucas Bergvall, James Maddison, Archie Gray, Mohammed Kudus
- Forwards: Dominic Solanke, Richarlison, Dane Scarlett, Wilson Odobert, Mathys Tel, Manor Solomon, Bryan Gil, Brennan Johnson
West Ham United
With West Ham United winning two of their three Summer Series games in the US, Graham Potter has had a successful preseason. He mostly used a 5-3-2 style in those games; therefore, we anticipate that he will similarly begin the next campaign.
The Hammers will, however, line up in several different ways throughout 2025–2026 because he is one of the most adaptable and fluid head coaches available.
West Ham United predicted lineup: 5-3-2: Hermansen; Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Aguerd, Douf; Ward-Prowse, Alvarez, Paqueta; Bowen, Fulkrug
West Ham’s squad in full
- Goalkeeper: Mads Hermansen, Alphonse Areola, Wes Foderingham
- Defenders: Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Kyle Walker-Peters, Jean-Clair Todibo, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Max Kilman, Nayef Aguerd, El Hadji Malick Diouf, Emerson, Oliver Scarles
- Midfielders: James Ward-Prowse, George Earthy, Edson Alvarez, Guido Rodriguez, Freddie Potts, Lucas Paqueta, Tomas Soucek, Andy Irving, Lewis Orford
- Forward: Niclas Fullkrug, Callum Wilson, Luis Guilherme, Callum Marshall, Jarrod Bowen, Crysencio Summerville, Maxwell Cornet
Wolves
In his 22 Premier League games as Wolverhampton Wanderers’ manager, Vitor Pereira has always played in the 3-4-2-1 formation.
Even if Pereira helped Wolves defend better against set plays, it’s still a vulnerability that might be exploited by others. Their point total will be substantially improved if they can drastically cut back on the 20 set-piece goals they conceded in 2024–2025.
Wolves predicted lineup: 3-4-2-1: Jose Sa; Doherty, Agabadou, Gomes; Hoever, Andre, Gomes, Moller Wolfe; Lopez, Arias; Strand Larsen
Wolves’ squad in full
- Goalkeepers: Jose Sa, Sam Johnstone, Dan Bentley
- Defenders: Matt Doherty, Ki-Jana Hoever, Emmanuel Agbadou, Yerson Mosquera, Toti Gomes, Santiago Bueno, Pedro Lima, David Moller Wolfe, Hugo Bueno
- Midfielders: Andre, Marshall Munetsi, Joao Gomes, Rodrigo Gomes, Tawanda Chirewa, Jhon Arias, Hwang Hee-Chan
- Forwards: Jorgen Strand Larsen, Sasa Kalajdzic, Nathan Fraser, Fabio Silva, Fer Lopez, Enso Gonzalez
Which system will Liverpool use in new season?
Arne Slot could go with the same style, the 4-2-3-1 system.
Which style might Chelsea use next season?
The head coach of the Blues intends to dominate possession in the first-choice 4-2-3-1 system.
Which formation will Pep Guardiola use next season?
He experimented with the 4-3-2-1 style in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, and it will be interesting to see if he will uses this next season.
