The record-breaking 41-year-old goalkeeper Craig Gordon was left out.

The Scotland national football team are raring to go to Germany for the Euro 2024 tournament. Head coach Steve Clarke has announced his final 26-man group for the event.

Previously on 22 May, Clarke had revealed a 28-man provisional group. But later due to untimely injuries, QPR forward Lyndon Dykes and a teenage winger who is contracted to Liverpool, Ben Doak, were withdrawn. To replace them, the 60-year-old Scottish manager included Tommy Conway and Lewis Morgan in the Scotland provisional squad.

Conway of Bristol City is a 21-year-old forward while Morgan, 27 years old, who only has two caps for the national side to date, plays as a winger for New York Red Bulls in MLS.

With the 28 provisional still intact after two replacements, Clarke needed to omit just two names to submit his final 26-man squad, needed for Euro 2024. Conway and Morgan who later joined the group managed to stay while Craig Gordon and John Souttar were left out.

Gordon, a 41-year-old goalkeeper, recently broke the record of the oldest player to play for the Scotland team against Finland in a friendly. Souttar is a centre-back who plays for Rangers FC.
