Bianconeri and Rayados have now been eliminated from the mega competition.

We are now left with the last eight clubs in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup as the round of 16 stage comes to a close. The mega event began with a total of 32 teams from all over the world fighting for a glorious trophy and hefty prize money. The tournament is now in the knockout stage, where neither of the teams can afford to lose.

The current edition of the Club World Cup is taking place in the United States of America and we have seen clubs struggling due to the extreme weather conditions. There is even a special ‘cooling break’ in each half after 30 minutes of play. The players are slowly catching up with the atmosphere as the mega competition proceeds towards the quarterfinals.

There are now a total of three non-European teams that have secured their berths in the last eight. Fluminense and Al Hilal are coming in after pulling off stunning victories against Inter Milan and Manchester City, respectively. This makes this tournament more interesting and fans can expect some unexpected outcomes.

Palmeiras defeated their fellow Brazilian club Botafogo to reach the quarterfinals. English Premier League side Chelsea dominated Benfica and secured a spot for themselves in the last eight.

Lionel Messi fell prey to his former club, Paris Saint-Germain, hence the journey for the Argentine great and MLS side Inter Miami also comes to a close in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.

Bayern Munich will take on PSG in their quarter-final fixture as they defeated Flamengo in a high-scoring contest.

The LaLiga and the European giants Real Madrid have also booked their spot for the next round of the mega competition, which is the quarterfinals. Los Blancos will face Borussia Dortmund next, who are coming in after securing a win against Monterrey.
