The King’s Cup final will be the 76th meeting of these two Saudi clubs

The two powerhouses of Saudi football are about to collide again this season. Al Hilal and Al Nassr are all set to clash at the finals of the King Cup tomorrow in King Abdullah Sports City stadium.

In the Saudi Pro League 2023-24 season, we saw this rivalry stretch out the entire duration of the tournament. By the end of it all, Al Hilal were crowned league champions. The highlight of this achievement was the undefeated season record and outclassing Al Nassr by 14 points on the league table.

But that’s not it, Al Hilal have been the dominant side across the last four meetings. This includes three wins and a draw. In the two league fixtures this season, Al Nassr suffered a defeat and were able to scrape a point in the other. Even in a mid-season friendly, they suffered a defeat.

In the Saudi Super Cup this season, it was Al Hilal who gave the blow to Luis Castro’s men in the semi-finals. The latter suffered a 2-1 defeat and even their main man Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off.

Ronaldo will hope for a similar result in the King’s Cup final, like the one his side saw in the Arab Club Champions Cup finals back in August 2023. That final saw a brace of goals by the Portuguese superstar, resulting in a 2-1 win over Al Hilal, ultimately leading them to a Cup win.

Al Hilal vs Al Nassr: All time Head to Head record

Matches Played: 76

In the all-time head-to-head record, we see Al Hilal dominating wins. They have defeated Al Nassr more than twice the number of times they have suffered a defeat.
