Men's FIH Pro League 2024-25 European Leg: India's schedule, fixtures, results, points table & live streaming details

The Indian men’s hockey team will play four matches each in the Amstelveen and Antwerp legs.
The Indian men’s hockey team are set to resume their FIH Pro League 2024-25 campaign on June 7. After playing eight matches at home (in Bhubaneswar) earlier this year, they will play their remaining matches in the continent of Europe.
The second half of the Men’s Pro League 2024-25 competition will see all teams assemble in Europe. The matches will be played at five venues, namely Valencia, Amstelveen, Antwerp, London, and Berlin.
India, ranked fifth in the world, commence their second leg at Amstelveen against the home team and World No. #1 Netherlands, before playing Argentina at the same location. They will then travel to Antwerp, where they will face Australia after a one-day recovery period. The side will then end their campaign against the home team and World No. #2 Belgium.
The Harmanpreet Singh-led side are currently placed third in the table with 15 points from eight matches. Importantly, the only other team in the top four, in the reckoning for a World Cup spot, are England, who, albeit at the top, are just one point ahead of India. This means that the Men in Blue have a great chance to clinch a berth, even if they don’t win the Pro League title.

However, they will have to play extremely well against the best teams in the world, some of whom have proven to be nemeses over the years. Interestingly, the Craig Fulton-coached side displayed ordinary form in the first match, against each of the four teams in the first half, before picking up in the next one.
They would hope to shun that habit and be at their peak throughout. The team would need to outperform the likes of England and Germany to pocket a quota place, which would help them free up their minds and prepare with a clear strategy for one of the biggest competitions the sport has to offer.
What is the format of the tournament?
The format of the competition is such that nine teams face each other in a round-robin tournament to be held between November and June. The competition follows the home-and-away principle but is divided into date blocks. For ease of logistics, multiple teams assemble at one location, with each side playing two matches against the other.
The team that tops the table after the conclusion of all games will be awarded the trophy. The bottom-placed team will face relegation and be replaced by the Men’s FIH Nations Cup winner, who will compete in the next edition.
The champion will also earn direct qualification for the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026. The Netherlands and Belgium have already qualified for the quadrennial tournament as hosts of the competition. Australia ensured a spot for themselves by emerging victorious in the previous edition of the Pro League.
