PKL 9 Match 56: Patna Pirates vs U Mumba

U Mumba gained the momentum in the first half, but the Patna Pirates fought back in the second half through raider Sachin's efforts and eventually registered a 34-31 victory over the Mumbai side in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 9 at the Shree Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi in Pune on Friday. Thereafter, Jai Bhagwan pulled off a stupendous SUPER RAID in the 9th minute to help U Mumba inch ahead at 7-4. The Mumbai side's defense unit also backed up their raiders as U Mumba stayed in the lead at 10-8 in the 15th minute. U Mumba tackled Abdul Insamam in the 18th minute and inflicted an ALL OUT to take a massive lead at 16-11. The Mumbai side ended the first half leading at 18-13.

Sachin Tanwar played brilliantly for the Pirates

The Pirates showed more determination in the second half and reduced U Mumba to two members on the mat in the 23rd minute. Moments later, Sachin effected a fantastic raid to help his team inflict an ALL OUT and level the scores at 20-20. Thereafter, both sides kept trading points and played out an even contest. While Sachin kept effecting raids for Patna, Bhagwan kept picking up raid points for U Mumba. However, Sachin pulled off a multi-point raid in the 37th minute and helped his team take the lead at 28-25. Moments later, the Pirates inflicted an ALL OUT and extended their lead even further. PKL 9 Match 57: Jaipur Pink Panthers vs Dabang Delhi

Jaipur Pink Panthers held off a late resurgence from Dabang Delhi K.C. to win 45-40 in a thriller at the Shree Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi in Pune on Friday. The Pink Panthers' Arjun Deshwal was at the forefront of their victory grabbing 16 points, while veteran raider Rahul Chaudhari scored 6 points that took him to 1000 raid points in the vivo Pro Kabaddi League.

Arjun Deshwal ran rampant and was instrumental in inflicting the first ALL OUT of the game, with a SUPER RAID that caught out Ashu Malik, Ravi Kumar and Manjeet. At the other end of the mat the Pink Panthers defence also held strong and ensured Naveen Kumar didn't get too many freebies on his raids.

With the Pink Panthers storming into a massive lead, it took brave defending from Delhi to rally together. Vishal's SUPER TACKLE on Rahul Chaudhari, helped them prevent a second all out, and not long after Ashu Malik and Vishal came together to do the trick again, to reduce the margin to 19-15.

However, the Pink Panthers inflicted a second ALL OUT in the last few minutes of the first half to extend their lead to 26-18. They went into the break leading 28-19.

Naveen Kumar scored another Super 10

The Pink Panthers did not let up one bit in the second half, Rahul Chaudhari rolling through the Delhi defence while his own team's defence was brilliant on the mat. Their ability to restrict Naveen Kumar was key to their gameplan. They inflicted another ALL OUT in the second half to surge into a huge lead.

With two minutes left though, Naveen came into his own, his SUPER RAID catching out Abhishek KS, Rahul Chaudhari, Sunil Kumar and reducing the Pink Panthers to just one player on the mat. On the very next raid, Delhi inflicted an ALL OUT of their own to reduce the lead to eight points. In the end, Delhi had left it too late, crashing to their sixth straight defeat, as the Pink Panthers got the win and ended their losing streak.
