The raider is an integral part of the Paltan’s lineup.

Puneri Paltan has announced that their star raider Aslam Inamdar will be out of action after picking up a minor injury in PKL 9. The 23-year-old is one of the strongest raiders in the Pro Kabaddi League and his absence will certainly be felt. It is going to be a challenge for the team to function without him and build on the recent string of positive results. He was missing in action against Dabang Delhi as well on Tuesday, however, the Paltan won that game by a 43-38 score.

This win was Puneri Paltan’s fifth win in their last six outings, which takes them to second place in the standings. If the outfit is to carry its form and produce positive results in the forthcoming matches, then Aslam Inamdar’s fitness will play a key role.

It is unclear when Aslam Inamdar will be back in action. However, the fans will hope that he comes back on the mat after fully recovering from his injury. Rushing him back without proper rehabilitation could have a negative effect on both the player’s fitness and the team’s performance in the league.

Impact of Aslam Inamdar

The previous season in the Pro Kabaddi League was the first for Aslam Inamdar. He was outstanding for the Puneri Paltan in the last term after securing 189 points in 23 matches. He made five Super 10s during his debut campaign and the expectations were high at the start of the PKL 9.

Thankfully for the fans, the exciting raider was superb in the initial stages of the ongoing season. In the first eight appearances, Inamdar collected 73 points for the Puneri Paltan. It will certainly be difficult to replace his points with another player. However, the team has the likes of Akash Shinde on the roster, who can certainly change the complexion of a game single-handedly.

During the time Aslam Inamdar stays out of action, there will be an added responsibility on the shoulders of Mohit Goyat. Puneri Paltan will require him to be consistent and replicate his performance against Dabang Delhi in the upcoming matches as well. Both Akash Shinde and Mohit Goyat scored 13 points against the reigning champions which enabled them to secure a sensational win.
