PKL 10 will witness a new champion lifting the trophy in Hyderabad.

After 136 games spread across 90 days among 12 teams, we are left with two teams and a single game to decide the winner of the Pro Kabaddi League season 10 (PKL 10). It is the Puneri Paltan who topped the points table at the end of the league stage and last year’s finalists will take on Haryana Steelers who will be playing their first-ever PKL title. No matter who wins, history will be created as the decade-long league will witness a new champion. With both teams hungry for success, let’s look at the secret to achieve that.

Puneri Paltan

All-Round Duo of Aslam and Shadloui

In Aslam Inamdar and Mohammareza Shadloui, the Puneri Paltan have two of the best all-rounders in the league. They have been outstanding this season and it was the same in the semifinals as well as they played a key role in annihilating Patna Pirates. They both will again be quintessential for the team in orange if they have to lift the cup. Haryana will have to be at their best to stop these two.

Avoiding Complacency

Puneri Paltan hardly made to sweat in the season as they dominated all the teams throughout the league. This season, they haven’t put their bench strength to the test. They can’t afford to get comfortable now that the competition is coming to an end. The fact that they only lost two games ultimately indicates that their plan A has generally been successful and one of the losses came against Haryana Steelers. It will be interesting to see how they approach this game.

Momentum of Raiders

While Pune’s defense has been impressive, it is the form of the Raiders that has made them a dominant force this season. The likes of Mohit Goyat and Pankaj Mohite have supported their skipper Aslam Inamdar to trouble the opposition defense. They will have a time against Haryana Steelers and players along with coach BC Ramesh should put forth their best effort and never take anything carelessly.

Haryana Steelers

Terrific Defensive Trio

The Haryana Steelers have one of the league’s top defenses this season. Against every squad in the league, Rahul Sethpal (71 points), Mohit Nandal (70 points), and Jaideep Dahiya (68 points) have proven to be formidable opponents. In the matchup against a formidable Puneri Paltans, these three will once more be crucial. The three will be a challenge to Aslam Inamdar & Co. Should these three have a successful day, Haryana might become the seventh PKL club to win the championship.

Young Legs of Their Raiders

The youthful legs of the Raiders, Shivam Patare, and Vinay, have generated points in the offensive while Haryana’s defense has maintained composure. Vinay will have a lot of work to do in the season’s most important game and Shivam Patare has been in great form as well. Both are high on confidence as they came up against Fazel Atrachalli & Co. in the eliminator and Ankush’s defense wall in the semis. They have to be at the top of their game against Shadloui’s consistent defense unit.

Manpreet’s Energy

Kabaddi is a momentum-based game, and how someone feels under pressure greatly affects how the game turns out. Manpreet’s energy has been witnessed by PKL over the years, first as a player and currently as a coach. He was seen grinning during the elimination round, which allowed his players to feel less pressure and feel more free to express themselves. Even in the semifinals, his energy was infectious as he was helping the Steelers win the mind game. He will have a huge role to play in the finals.
