PKL 11: Will Pawan Sehrawat play against Haryana Steelers tonight?

Telugu Titans are playing without Pawan Sehrawat for eight consecutive matches.
Telugu Titans have faced a rough patch in Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11), largely due to the absence of their captain and star raider, Pawan Sehrawat. As you know, Pawan suffered an injury in the match against UP Yoddha, after his early exit, Telugu lost against UP by a margin of 34-40. Since then, he has missed eight straight matches in PKL 11, leaving a noticeable void in the team’s lineup.
While Vijay Malik has stepped up as the stand-in captain, it’s clear that Pawan’s presence on the mat is irreplaceable. Fans and teammates are eagerly awaiting his return, but updates on his recovery remain scarce. The team’s coach confirmed earlier that while the injury was minor the recovery process was on.

However, speaking after the close win over Bengal Warriorz, he relayed that Pawan will not be available for the upcoming match against Haryana Steelers on December 9.
Without their captain, Titans have managed mixed results. They scraped past Bengal Warriorz and U Mumba in tight wins but were handed a heavy 41-28 loss by Jaipur Pink Panthers and fell short 36-33 in their second clash against UP Yoddhas. Despite Malik and Ashish Narwal doing their best to lead the charge, the team has struggled in clutch moments that often require Pawan’s experience and explosiveness.
Pawan Sehrawat’s impact on Telugu Titans
Pawan Sehrawat’s impact this season speaks for itself. In nine matches, he has collected 95 raid points, averaging a remarkable 10.22 points per match. His 61.33% raid success rate, combined with five Super Raids and six Super 10s, underlines his game-changing ability.
Meanwhile, Vijay Malik has been holding the team together admirably. With 148 points in 17 matches, including 138 raid points, Malik has been a consistent performer and a steady hand as captain. But it’s undeniable that Telugu Titans rely heavily on Pawan, especially in critical matches as the playoff race heats up.
As the league stage nears its end, the pressure is mounting. Pawan’s return could be the turning point the Titans need, both for his skills and the energy he brings to the team. The Titans currently sit in fifth place on the PKL 11 points table, with 10 wins and seven losses from 17 matches.
While they’re still in playoff contention, the competition is fierce. A win against table-toppers Haryana Steelers could strengthen their position, but doing it for a second time won’t be easy without their star raider.
