PKL 11: U Mumba vs Patna Pirates Predicted 7, team news, head-to-head & free live stream

Earlier in PKL 11, U Mumba defeated Patna Pirates.
A blockbuster match is on the cards, as U Mumba will face Patna Pirates in match 122 of Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11) at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune. Pirates have already secured qualification, while Mumba are virtually a win away from qualifying. Interestingly, on Wednesday, the three-time champions did their opponents a favour by defeating the Telugu Titans 41-37.
U Mumba have encountered mixed results in their last few matches, meaning they are at the edge of the top six, with 61 points after 19 games, ten wins, seven losses, and two ties. In their last game, the season 2 champions made a strong comeback but ended up losing 27-30 to an in-form UP Yoddhas. Despite that defeat, they have much room for error as they practically need one win out of their next three games to progress, considering they have a much higher score difference than the Telugu Titans.

On the other hand, Patna Pirates have earned 73 points in 20 matches. They have won thirteen games and lost six, with one game ending in a stalemate. The three-time champions have the unenviable task of playing back-to-back games (in fact, they had a game on Monday too, and are set to play their last match on Saturday). With qualification ticked off, they will next have their eyes set on a top two spot, to avoid the eliminators.
In the first fixture between the two sides this season, U Mumba held their nerves to win the match 42-40. In the penultimate raid, they had inflicted an all-out on the Pirates, with Zafardanesh managing a clutch ankle hold on Sandeep, while the raider was trying to cross the baulk line and legitimize the raid.

Players to watch out for:
Ajit Chouhan (U Mumba)
Ajit Chouhan, who made his PKL debut this season, has done a phenomenal job, leading the raiding department. With Manjeet and Zafardanesh struggling for rhythm, the team has been over-dependent on him. He is currently fifth on the list of most raid points this season, with 158 raid points.
Ajit has displayed tremendous strength and fitness and has scored three Super 10s in U Mumba’s last five matches. The raider will have fond memories of the Pirates though, having scored 19 points in the earlier meeting, where he had also wiped out all seven defenders on the mat with two successive super raids.
Devank Dalal (Patna Pirates)
Not many people would have predicted Devank Dalal to be sitting at the top of the list of most raid points. However, he has been in a league of his own, with 258 raid points, way ahead of the second-placed Ashu Malik. He has already secured 16 Super 10s in 20 matches, with most of them being ‘Super 10s’.
