PKL 12: Dabang Delhi look to continue dominant run in Chennai Leg

Dabang Delhi are currently at the top of the PKL 12 points table with 7 wins.

After a commanding run in Visakhapatnam and Jaipur, table-toppers Dabang Delhi will look to continue their exceptional form as the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) caravan now shifts to Chennai’s SDAT Multi-Purpose Indoor Stadium.

The Delhi side, who have won seven of their eight games so far, are brimming with confidence but face a formidable challenge next against the Haryana Steelers, currently third in the table with six wins and two losses.

Led by their Captain & Star Raider Ashu Malik, who has already amassed 106 raid points this season, Dabang Delhi‘s raiding department has been relentless and clinical.

Ashu’s consistency and explosive raids have been instrumental in their strong start. On the other hand, the defence marshalled by veterans Fazel Atrachali and Surjeet Singh has been rock-solid, ensuring the team boasts a joint-highest score difference of +51, level with Puneri Paltan.

Speaking ahead of the Chennai leg, Coach Joginder Narwal said, “We’ve had a fantastic start to the season, but the job is far from done. Every match is a new battle, and we’re fully focused on maintaining our momentum. Haryana Steelers are a quality side, and we respect their form, but we’re confident in our preparation and belief as a unit.”

Captain Ashu Malik added, “It’s been a great season personally and for the team, but individual performances only matter if they help Delhi win. I’m excited to take on the challenge in Chennai and continue contributing to our campaign.”
