PKL 12: Joginder Narwal shares his views on Devank Dalal ahead of Dabang Delhi's clash against Bengal Warriorz

Ashu Malik was the lone warrior for Dabang Delhi against Jaipur Pink Panthers in PKL 12.

Dabang Delhi and Jaipur Pink Panthers produced one of the most entertaining games of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) on Sunday. Delhi staged an iconic comeback in the final stages of the game and registered a narrow win with a one-point margin.

Jaipur were in the lead for the majority of the game, but Ashu Malik’s heroics on the mat were enough to seal the deal for Dabang Delhi after a hard-fought contest.

After the game, representatives from both teams addressed the media.

Thoughts on the game

Jaipur Pink Panthers head coach Narender Redhu opened up about his thoughts after the game. He said, “Dabang Delhi have been consistently winning matches and their squad is full of superstars. We had already discussed that if we can cover Ashu, then our team will play good defense.”

“We covered a lot of mistakes that we made, but the last mistake was the super tackle on Nitin; otherwise, we would have won the match. Both our raiders played very well against such a strong team,” he added.

Thoughts ahead of the next game

Narender Redhu shared his views ahead of the next game against the Gujarat Giants and said, “We have a match with Gujarat, and there is Shadloui. We will avoid him, and Rakesh and Sridhar are also there. We will plan for all the raiders and defenders like we did against Delhi.”

“We will come up with a plan for Gujarat. Our young team is doing well, so I have full faith in my team that we will keep showing such good matches,” he added.

Thoughts on the game

Dabang Delhi head coach Joginder Narwal also shared his views on the game and said, “The opposition team was good and so were we. It was a tough game, and that’s what Kabaddi is all about.”

“That team also had an equal number of players as our team, but in the end, luck also worked; the players were working hard, and the team members were also working, but luck also worked. Thanks to God that the team won the match,” he added.

Thoughts ahead of the next match

Ashu Malik spoke about his thoughts going into the next match against the Bengal Warriorz and said, “It will be a good match. Confidence and luck are good, but today we could not perform as we expected. Of course, we won the match, but we made a few mistakes. So there is still one day left. Coach Sahab will make a strategy, and we will correct those mistakes in the next match.”

Thoughts on Devank Dalal

Joginder Narwal expressed his views on Devank Dalal ahead of the next game and said, “They are a strong team. Ashu is also a good raider. Devank is also a very brilliant and capable player, and unless we can stop Devank, it will be difficult for us to win. So we will make a plan to stop Devank and make our team win.”

Ashu Malik also added, “Everyone knows that Devank is the number one raider right now. He was the top raider last season, and his confidence is very high. So you can guess that it is a good team. Bengal may have lost the match today, but their team is good.”
