Gujarat Giants
Thoughts on the win
Gujarat Giants assistant coach Varinder Singh opened up about his thoughts on the game and said, “It was a close game. They are a good team with a strong offense and defense. It was a much-needed win for us because losing is not an option at this point. We need to win every game.”
On their Strategy
Varinder Singh also spoke about his side’s game plan and said, “The players are playing with a free mind without pressure, and therefore they can make successful advance tackles. There is no pressure on the players, and we have instructed them to play freely because we need to win every game. Therefore, they can perform,”
Thoughts on the next game against Dabang Delhi
Singh shared his feelings ahead of the next game against Delhi and said, “Dabang Delhi are a good team even if Ashu Malik doesn’t play. They have lost two matches so far. They are not dependent on just Ashu because they have many good players. We will try to plan against everyone and put up a good performance.”
UP Yoddhas
Thoughts on the game
UP Yoddhas assistant coach Upendra Malik spoke about the turning point in the game and said, “We came back really well, but we leaked points in defense, and that was the turning point. There was pressure on the defenders, but it shouldn’t have happened. If Guman had been patient, maybe things would be different. If we had won, he would have become a hero.”
Plan ahead
Malik also shared his side’s plan for the remainder of the season and said, “Whatever has happened cannot be changed. We need to focus on what’s coming up. It’s going to be a knockout leg for us in Delhi, and hopefully things will change there. We’re going to play like we’re in the playoffs, and we will come all out. There is no pressure on us, but the opposition team will feel it.”
