PKL 12: BC Ramesh blames right corner & cover for Bengaluru Bulls' loss against Tamil Thalaivas

Tamil Thalaivas registered their third win in PKL 12 by thrashing Bengaluru Bulls.

Tamil Thalaivas secured their second consecutive win in Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) under new captain Arjun Deshwal. Thalaivas eventually prevailed with a 35-29 victory over the in-form Bengaluru Bulls.

The Thalaivas came back from behind to win the game and add two points to their tally. ‘Raid Machine’ Arjun Deshwal stood up to the occasion and scored 13 match-winning points to guide his side over the line in a nail-biting encounter.

After the match, representatives from both teams addressed the media.

Game plan

Tamil Thalaivas captain Arjun Deshwal spoke about his side’s game plan and said, “Our plan has been successful somewhere or the other. That’s why we have won the match. We have made many mistakes in the past, and many mistakes are being made today.”

“See, victory and defeat are compulsory; it will happen. It can happen to anyone. But the main thing is that we come up with a plan and play according to the instructions given by Coach Sahab. Today the team played according to the plan and with a free mind. There was no pressure, and today the team played unitedly and won,” he added.

Update on Pawan Sehrawat

Tamil Thalaivas’ assistant coach D. Suresh Kumar refrained from making any statements about Pawan Sehrawat. He said, “That is a franchise issue and we don’t have anything to say about it.”

His own performance

Arjun Deshwal opened up about his own performance and said, “There is no pressure. I had said it earlier, and I am saying it today also. Yes, a win boosts the team’s morale. We have to give our 100% and if the team plays united, then they will do well.”

“Our confidence also remains full because I am the captain of the team. It was all about the team, and our bench is ready outside as well, so it was complete teamwork. If the team plays like it did today, we will keep winning,” he added.

Bengaluru Bulls head coach BC Ramesh shared his thoughts on the game and said, “Our defender did not do much, and they played poorly. They could not showcase their talent. In many matches, the right corner and covers are not performing well. Our defenders failed to apprehend their raiders. We gave them bonus points as well as touch points. After this happened, our team’s confidence level became dull, and we lost the game.”
