The Pro Kabaddi Leagues’ (PKL) introduction of the ‘Super Raid’ concept has helped raised the bar for the raiders season after season. A raid in which a raider gets three or more points is called a super raid. It is one of the most climactic events of a Kabaddi match, often the key turning point that separates victory from defeat.

Super Raids are not for the faint-hearted and require the knowledge of some daring escape techniques or immense strength to pull off successfully. Here are the top five players with the most super raids in the PKL.

5. Rahul Chaudhari: 138 Matches, 24 Super Raids

Rahul Chaudhari frequently stood up for his teams when the going got tough. He was banked upon to change the tide of matches with his trademark multi-point raids. Rahul seldom disappointed, with returns of 24 super raids from his 129 matches.

4. Rishank Devadiga: 122 Matches, 25 Super Raids

The moniker ‘Mr. Do or Die' does not get thrown around lightly on the mat. Reliable and fearless, Rishank tore through defenses for his super raids, using his stature and skill both. Throughout his career, he represented U Mumba, UP Yoddha, and Bengal Warriors. He helped U Mumba win the title in season 2, standing out with his do-or-die reliance and super raids.

3. Pawan Kumar Sehrawat: 105 Matches, 29 Super Raids

A phenom who performs feats of magic by the bucketful, ‘Hi-Flier’ Pawan Sehrawat’s super raids are a miraculous spectacle every single time. His preferred weapons are the lion jump and the frog jump. Pawan leaps off the back of defenders to a height of 6-7 feet and escapes to the midline, an unmatchable skill. He led the Blues to victory in 2018. Now with the Tamil Thalaivas for a record-breaking 2.26 crores, Pawan has 29 super raids in 104 matches. He will aim to repeat his feats with the Thalaivas.

2. Maninder Singh: 109 Matches, 34 Super Raids

A 2-time champion in just 5 seasons, Maninder had to recover from a three-year injury absence. Despite this, he maintained his high levels of promise and potential after moving to the Bengal Warriors. Mani has 31 Super Raids in 101 Matches, a very high rate.

1. Pardeep Narwal: 139 Matches, 68 Super Raids

‘Dubki King’ Pardeep Narwal’s numbers speak for themselves. 64 Super raids in 131 matches is a testament to Pardeep’s skill and longevity at the top level. His purple patch extended across several campaigns as he pushed himself to a different degree of class. After years of dominating for the Patna Pirates, Pardeep suffered an injury last season. UP Yoddha broke the bank, signing the 'Record Breaker' for 1.65 Lakh, but an ankle injury hampered his performance.
