10 most and least expensive players In ISL 2017 Draft
With the Indian Super League draft fast approaching, Khel Now takes a look at the most and least expensive players on the table.
The Indian Super League (ISL) season is only a few months away now and the teams have to be rebuilt from scratch this time, with the much anticipated ISL Draft set to take place on the 23rd of July. All the teams (except the newly formed Jamshedpur side) have been given the opportunity to retain only a few of their players and all the other Indian players will be up for grabs in this draft system.

Every player has a base price at which the teams can buy them, but the prices of different kinds of players are quite different. Some of the more prominent players have a really high base price because of their higher value while some other "inexperienced" or relatively-raw players will be sold at a fairly low base price.
While the marquee players will have to be signed by the clubs separately, they have the opportunity to sign the best home-grown talent in the upcoming draft and we take a look at the 10 most and least expensive players in the ISL draft.

10. Calvin Abhishek
Calvin Abhishek is the first Bengaluru FC Academy graduate to have earned a call-up to the senior team and after impressing at the Academy, he will look to earn a spot for an ISL team. The young goalkeeper has been priced at INR 4 lacs and knowing his impressive reputation, he can be the fair second choice goalkeeper for many teams.
9. Nikhil Kadam
Nikhil Kadam is a bright young winger who has shown signs of excellence in his years as a professional wrestler and he'll hope to be picked by an ISL side. Kadam is priced at ₹5 lacs and the former Mumbai FC man will hope a team gives him the opportunity to shine on the biggest stage.
8. Souvik Das
Souvik Das was quite impressive for Minerva Punjab in the I-League this year and he'll look to play in the ISL after impressing for the Punjab outfit. Das is priced at ₹5 lacs and will hope to be picked up by a team who can make good use of this sturdy and hard-working midfielder.
7. Clyde Fernandes
Clyde Fernandes is another able defender up for grabs in the ISL draft, with the Mumbai FC man being priced at a reasonable ₹5 lacs. Knowing how teams love to bulk up on defence, Fernandes could be snapped up and given the opportunity to prove his worth in the big league.
6. Sumit Das
Sumit Das might not be a name known to many, but he was one of the prominent players to have excelled in the trials for Atletico de Kolkata a few years ago. Das now finds himself in the ISL draft, with his price being set at ₹5 lacs and this exciting player will be eyed by many.
5. Indrajeet Singh Chougule
Indrajeet Singh Chougule was quite impressive for DSK Shivajians in the past I-League season where the young midfielder made his presence felt. Chougule is priced at ₹5 lacs in the upcoming I-League draft and he'll hope for a team to pick him up and let him display his potential on a stage like ISL.
4. Dashyanng Kachru
Dashyanng Kachru is another relatively unknown name amongst Indian football fans but he's been impressive for I-League 2nd Division club Lonestar Kashmir FC. The attacking midfielder who is equally adept with both feet is priced at ₹5 lacs in the draft.
3. Siddharth Singh
Siddharth Singh announced himself to the football world in his teenage years when he made the news for his excellence as a youth player. The young sensation has finally got recognition as he's also in the ISL Draft where he's priced at ₹5 lacs and will look to prove his talent if he gets to play on a stage like the ISL.
2. Imran Khan
Imran Khan may not have received the limelight of the big leagues yet, but he's done a compelling job for Mohammedan Sporting in his few years with the club. The young defender will be available for ₹5 lacs in the ISL draft and he'll hope to get a chance in the big league this season.

1. Avilash Paul
Avilash Paul got a lot of exposure during his time at Pune FC but ever since it transitioned into FC Pune City in the ISL, Paul hasn't really gotten that much experience in the competition. The goalkeeper is available for ₹5 lacs in the draft and will hope to be picked by the Punekars or some other team which can help him become a prominent goalkeeper in the future.

Pronay Halder is now a man who is known by most Indian football fans as the Mohun Bagan midfielder has been plagued by injuries recently. The energetic, technically gifted midfielder was let go by Mumbai City FC and is priced at a whopping ₹58 lacs in the ISL Draft and teams will love to have his towering presence in the midfield.
9. Narayan Das
Narayan Das might be one of the most promising left-backs in the country, but he's yet to get exposure in the ISL. His impressive work last season has gotten him the base price of ₹58 lacs and he'll hope to be picked by a team where he can play regularly and show how good he is.
8. Lenny Rodrigues
Lenny Rodrigues brings a lot of experience with him as the central midfielder has been playing at the top for many years now. The former Bengaluru FC midfielder is available for ₹60 lacs and several teams will want to splash the cash for him and bring this calm, experienced player to their side.

7. Arindam Bhattacharya
Arindam Bhattacharya is an absolute asset for any team with the 6'2' goalkeeper being a commanding one for any team. He's up for grabs for #64 lacs (but the buying team will have to cough up at least ₹73 lacs, including ₹9 lacs transfer fee to FC Pune City) and teams will want to splash the big cash for this tall Indian goalkeeper.

Balwant Singh is one of the most dangerous strikers in the country right now and this amazing frontman is actually up for grabs in the ISL Draft. The former Mohun Bagan man brings a lot of goals with him and is based at a reasonable ₹65 lacs.
5. Robin Singh
Robin Singh is known throughout the country now because of his terrific goalscoring record and he's one of the most-sought after players included in the ISL Draft. Singh is priced at ₹65 lacs, but the brilliant poacher will be a wanted man in the auction and many teams will fight it out for this star striker.
4. Pritam Kotal
Pritam Kotal is arguably the best right-back in the country right now and many were shocked when FC Pune City didn't retain him. He'll be available for ₹75 lacs in the ISL Draft and knowing just how the teams crave for compact full-backs, he'll be in great demand in the draft and will be on the radar for many.
3. Subrata Paul
Subrata Paul is probably the most experienced player up for sale in the ISL Draft and the impeccable goalkeeper will be sought-after. He's available for a whopping ₹87 lacs, but knowing how much he brings to the table in terms of experience, leadership and calmness, Paul will be a target for many clubs who won't hesitate in splashing the cash for him.

Anas Edathodika's journey in the ISL has been nothing short of extraordinary.
