Discover Football Women’s Festival 2017- Day 3
There were 25 goals across four matches...
Ebony Equal Opportunity, Purple Women’s Empowerment, Turquoise Female Autonomy and Cream Gender Equality registered massive wins on Day 3 of the Discover Football Women’s Festival 2017 played at Duler Football Stadium, Mapusa Goa earlier today.
The day started with an entertaining match between Ebony EQ and Silver Self-Determination. The match witnessed a glut of goals from both the sides. Silvers were the first to open the tally when Monika Rani made an easy tap to her teammate's superb pass. Pooja Manderwal scored the equaliser for Ebony, while Nagwang Oetso took Ebony into the lead within the next minute. Monika once again scored in the dying minutes of the first session to put the terms back level.

On crossing over, Silvers once again took the lead through Anline Fernandes but within the next five minutes, Ebony’s Pooja equalised with a skilful goal. Anline once again put her side in front with a diagonal goal from outside the box however her joy faded within few seconds as Ebony’s Susmita Lepcha made it all square on the counter-attack. Sakinta Lakra and Nagwang scored two quick goals in the dying minutes and confirmed Ebony’s 6-4 win over Silvers.
In the second match, Purple WE blanked Blue Bodily Integrity 4-0. Ekambara Subramanian, Jalpana Paul, Candice Fernandes, Jyoti Burrett scored one each for Purples. While Turquoise FA drubbed Golden Grow Visibility 6-0 in the third match. Karishma Shirvoikaar scored four goals in Turquoise massive. Local girl Vailanka scored the other two goals.
[KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]Cream GE also scripted a thumping 5-0 win over Crimson Mutual Consent in the day’s last match. Barnali Roy and Linda Calado scored a brace each while Priyanka Sarkar scored the other goal.
