FPL Guru: How your team should look like in Gameweek 5
Buccaneering Spanish full-back Marcos Alonso leads the pack with 44 points.
Gameweek 4 was not surprising in terms of results, except for Tottenham facing defeat at the hands of Watford. It was a thrilling encounter in Vicarage Road that saw The Hornets maintain their 100% record in the Premier League this season.
Marcos Alonso found himself amongst the points as he continued to be the top FPL player with an amazing assist and clean sheet against Bournemouth. Manchester United went back to winning ways, Liverpool overpowered Leicester City although Alisson couldn't keep a fourth successive clean sheet. Arsenal and Manchester City also notched three points. It was a routine gameweek in all aspects.
Gameweek 4 Review
FPL-wise, Gameweek 4 turned out to be disappointing on a lot of fronts. Major players in the team failed to start and those that did failed to churn up points.
Captain Bernardo Silva did not feature in the starting line-up against Newcastle but came on as a substitute, his return being 2 points. Strikers Aleksandar Mitrovic and Roberto Firmino scored getting five and seven points respectively. David de Gea kept his first clean sheet of the season getting 6 points. The four midfielders and three defenders got only 13 points amongst them. A very mean week, in all fronts as the team got below average points for the first time.
Gameweek 5 Transfers
Gameweek 4’s dismal results force a complete overhaul of the squad. With that in mind, I have decided to use the wildcard option available for the first half of the season. Six transfers have been carried out.

Marcos Alonso has been brought in for Leighton Baines, who seems to have lost his first-team spot. With Dele Alli, not likely to feature in the next week owing to injury, another Chelsea player Pedro is brought in. Silva was dropped in the game against Newcastle and Looks likely to stay in the bench. Lucas Moura, the Premier League Player of the Month comes in for him. Virgil van Dijk is replaced by Andrew Robertson, as the full-back has the tendency to get attacking points also. In attack, two changes have been made with Sergio Aguero and Callum Wilson coming in for Firmino and Arnautovic respectively. Both have a relatively easy set of fixtures coming up.
Gameweek 5 Line-up
The formation remains 3-4-3. Newcomer Marcos Alonso has been made the captain for the upcoming Gameweek. The Spanish full-back has been amazing this season getting goals or assists in all Gameweeks so far. He has an easy fixture at home against Cardiff. He is joined by Andrew Robertson and Jeffrey Schlupp in defence. Robertson has a tough test against Tottenham but his attacking capabilities can result in points. Pedro, Ruben Neves, Lucas Moura and Mohamed Salah make up the midfield. Playing against Cardiff at Home, Pedro looks most likely to bring the most points. If either Spurs or Liverpool dominate proceedings, one of Salah or Lucas Moura can also come away with a good amount of points.
The attacking trio is in hot roaring form. Although Fulham is playing Manchester City, Aleksandar Mitrovic looks the most likely to score. He is the joint top-scorer in the Premier League. On his opposite side is the clinical and dangerous Sergio Aguero who tends to have a field day against smaller opposition. Callum Wilson, who has two goals and three FPL assists in four games so far make up the trio.
[KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]David de Gea stays as the goalkeeper despite a tough fixture against high-flying Watford. The bench has Mathew Ryan and defenders Aron-Wan Bissaka and James Tarkowski. Richarlison who won’t feature in Gameweek 5 is the fourth player on the bench.
The upcoming gameweek has the potential to be a feisty one. Liverpool's journey to Wembley to face Tottenham has an unpredictable result with both teams looking to trump the other. Watford will be aiming to keep their streak intact with a win over United.
