The Mariners have also signed a new goalkeeping coach and a physio for the upcoming season.
Mohun Bagan are continuing their busy off-season in recruiting players and adding more personnel to their support staff. The Mariners struck a deal with Jose Antonio "Kibu' Vicuna to be their head coach for the upcoming season less than a month ago.
Since the arrival of the new head coach, they have not looked back. The Mariners recently roped in goalkeeper Debjit Majumder on loan from ATK. With him, the club also announced the signing of former East Bengal striker VP Suhair from Gokulam Kerala.
Majumder was a fan-favourite of the Mariners before he joined ATK. The custodian played a huge role in Mohun Bagan's I-League triumph in 2015. It will be a new experience for the 31-year old to return to the club after he struggled for regular game-time at the Indian Super League (ISL) outfit.
Meanwhile, 26-year old striker Suhair impressed hugely last season in an overall below average season for Gokulam. The lanky striker showed his hold up skills and led the line for the Kerala outfit with grit and resilience. The forward will be looking to settle old scores this season, donning the Green and Maroon jersey.
