The new Chelsea boss has already bought Jorginho from his ex-club to join him at Stamford Bridge.

Maurizio Sarri's time at Napoli had ended on a sour note, right from the moment he planned on leaving the club at the end of last season. As he moved to England, his former boss, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis publicly criticised him. The Italian club's chief has taken a dig at Sarri for trying to 'dismantle' his squad.

After his move to Chelsea, the newly-appointed manager looked back on his last days at Napoli with great grief. He sounded like a heartbroken person who was not treated well by his in the final days. The Naples club announced former AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti as Sarri's replacement, before his deal with Chelsea had materialized.

"If we parted on bad terms with the club and the President then I think mistakes were made on both sides," Sarri told Sky Sports. "Maybe the President misinterpreted some silences of mine. These were the uncertainties of someone who was torn, thinking it might be time to go," he further added.

De Laurentiis was not blissful about the comments made by his former employee, Sarri, and shrugged off the claims of the Chelsea boss. He manifested himself as the righteous one by denying that he made any mistakes as he went on to say, "I didn’t like it when he said that we both made mistakes, I don’t think I made any."

The Napoli President also went on to claim that during his time with the Italian side, Sarri did not treat his players well. He explained, "He had a contract, so I could’ve said something because he was acting in an unacceptable manner, going against players he didn’t think were very good."

"These players gave him a lot. He massacred them in his fantastic training sessions, but they always responded well."

De Laurentiis also alleged that Sarri was trying to dismantle his squad and take his best players to London with him. "After that, he wanted to take my whole team to England and dismantle it. I had to lay down the law to Marina [Granovskaia, Chelsea director]."

"He wanted Jorginho and I gave him away after I talked to Ancelotti, who told me he was banking a lot on [Amadou] Diawara and that he wanted to play [Marek] Hamsik deeper," De Laurentiis further added.

The former Napoli manager has filled in the void left by another Italian Antonio Conte. Many things are being expected from Sarri, as his predecessor won the Premier League title in his first season in-charge. The domestic campaign has not started yet, but all eyes will be on Sarri and how he manages the squad in their first few fixtures.
