The Spaniard lamented his team's inability to put the game to bed after having taken the lead in the first half.
Jamshedpur FC head coach Antonio Iriondo talked to the press after his team’s 1-1 draw against NorthEast United. The Spaniard cut a frustrated figure, as he was disappointed by the result and was clearly unhappy with the referees. Jamshedpur FC conceded a last minute equalizer and were denied what looked like a clear penalty. However, the head coach said that he was satisfied with the team’s performance. “When your goalkeeper does not have to make a single save it is because you defend well. Obviously, in the second half they try to push and put crosses, but we were good in clearing. Both teams used their tools to win the match. I think we had more weapons than them and we had more chances,” he claimed. This league could be a great league, a fantastic league, fantastic way to develop the players and the coaches. But, with this level of refereeing it is pretty much impossible. There is no way that a referee can miss a penalty like that. Every single match you hear them say there is bad refereeing.” The Jamshedpur head coach further added, “I think that the league has to do something. There are a lot of good things in the league. They try to see the small details, about the mobile phones in the stadium and that kind of thing, but they must focus on the important thing that is refereeing.” [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="RELATED NEWS | ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS] Sergio Castel’s Injury “Castel got injured in the tackle, so his ankle is inflamed. But, we cannot make an evaluation yet, we have to wait.” Jamshedpur play their next game at home against Chennaiyin FC next Monday.Latest News
