Chelsea star Marcos Alonso signs new five-year contract
The former Bolton man has made 14 appearances this season, scoring one goal, and assisting two.
Spanish left-back Marcos Alonso has signed a new contract at Chelsea, which will see him stay with the Stamford Bridge outfit until 2023. The 27-year-old moved to The Blues from Serie A outfit Fiorentina in 2016. On his arrival, he helped his club win the Premier League title in his first season.

The Real Madrid youth academy product already had prior English football experience before coming to London, having played for Bolton from 2010-2013. Regarding the extension, Alonso said, "I am so happy to stay here longer and to keep playing for one of the best teams in the world. It's been a very good two seasons and I am looking forward to more."
The defender has scored 15 goals in 92 appearances in all competitions for Roman Abramovich's side, and has begun to receive international call-ups from this year onwards.
