Prime Volleyball League (PVL) season 2 has started off on a bright note. The month-long tournament started on February 4 and will conclude on March 5. Seven teams competed in the inaugural season and Mumbai Meteors is the eighth and the latest entrant in season 2. PVL 2023 will feature a total of 31 matches and each team will play the other seven teams in a single-legged round-robin format in the group stages. The top four teams at the end of the league stage will qualify for the semi-finals.
Inaugural champions Kolkata Thunderbolts have started the season positively and are placed in the second spot with six points. Calicut Heroes has been the pick of the franchise and are on an unbeaten run winning the first three matches and currently occupying the top spot with six points. Bengaluru Topedoes started the home leg on a poor note losing the first two matches but have come back strongly winning three successive games. The tournament is held across three legs (Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kochi).
Prasanth Guru from Hyderabad Black Hawks is currently the top scorer in the league scoring 76 points (attack points – 68, block points – 6, and serve points – 2). Prasanth is closely followed by Tsvetanov from Bengaluru Torpedoes with 52 points. In this article let us look at the top 10 scorers in Prime Volleyball League (PVL).
