The second edition will feature eight teams.

The auctions for the second season got over successfully with all seven teams building their respective squad. After the inauguration last year in 2022 this will be the second Prime Volleyball League season consisting of eight teams - Ahmedabad Defenders, Bengaluru Torpedoes, Calicut Heroes, Chennai Blitz, Hyderabad Black Hawks, Kochi Blue Spikers, and Mumbai Meteors.

The auction was divided into four categories with respect to their base price: Platinum (Rs 8 lakh), Gold (Rs 5 lakh), Silver (Rs 3 lakh), and Bronze (Rs 2 lakh)

Kolkata Thunderbolts defeated Ahmedabad Defenders to lift the title in the inaugural season.

10. Rahul K (7 lakhs)

Rahul K was part of the title-winning Kolkatta Thunderbolts team last season and again picked in the auctions in the second season. He played a vital role in the attack section and again this year will play an important role for the Kolkatta team.

9. Amit Gulia (7.10 lakhs)

Amit Gulia was the captain of the silver-winning Indian team at the U-23 Asian Volleyball Championships in 2019. This season he was bought by Mumbai Meteors and will play a vital role being one of the experienced players.

8. Angamuthu (7.40 lakhs)

The experienced Universal player was again brought back by his previous franchise after being an important player in the inaugural season finishing finalists. Also, he is one of the most experienced players in the league.

7. LM Manoj (8.75 lakhs)

The 24-year-old from Karnataka represented Ahmedabad Defender last season and again in the second season bought by the same franchise for a bigger price compared to last year. He was part of the 2019 South Asian Games title run defeating Pakistan in the finals.

6. Sethu TR (9.75 lakhs)

Sethu TR last year was sold for 1.5 lakhs to the Kochi franchise but after an excellent season in the first year, he is now bought for 9.75 lakhs more than 7 times the bid amount last year.

5. Karthik A (10 lakhs)

The 32-year-old will be playing for Mumbai Meteors after representing Kochi Spikers in the inaugural edition. He was the captain of the Indian team during the Senior Asian Championships held in 2021. This season he will don the role of middle blocker.

4. Vipul Kumar (10.75 lakhs)

Vipul Kumar last season was the captain of Hyderabad Black Hawks leading the young and inexperienced side. The 28-yer-old has represented India eight times overall. The “setter” in the second season will be playing for the Kochi franchise.

3. Ranjit Singh (12.25 lakhs)

Ranjit will be representing Hyderabad Black Hawks after previously representing Ahmedabad Defenders in the inaugural season. The 34-year-old has represented India since his junior days and has also won the Most Valuable Player in the u-18 section. 

2. Chirag Yadav (12.25 lakhs)

The youngster was the second costliest player (along with Ranjit Singh) bought by the southern side Calicut Heroes. He was a part of the Indian squad in the Asian Championships 2021 and had an excellent season last year.

1. Rohit Kumar (17.5 lakhs)

Rohit Kumar was the highest-bid player being picked by Kochi Blue Spikers for 17.5 lakhs. In the inaugural season, Rohit played as a spiker for Bengaluru Torpedoes and performed well. This season he will look to put on the consistent performance from the last season.
