Paris Olympics will be played at some of the iconic places.

It’s that time of the year when each and every man, woman and child in the world becomes a sports fanatic, and turns their attention to watching their compatriots perform at the grandest stage of sports, the Olympics. Every morning, the newspaper will have an extra minute of attention to the sports section to see if their country has a medal match or two.

People are searching for their top medal prospects on their mobiles and trying to follow their schedule to catch a glimpse of their nation winning a medal. The major attraction is the venue and the city where the competition is being held. 2024 is seeing Paris play host to the Olympics and it is the third time in history that the city is hosting it.

It is after 100 years that Paris is hosting an Olympics. Fans and athletes are living the experience that are the Olympics. Let’s look at the top five attractions at the Paris Olympics 2024.

5. Break dancing to debut at Olympics

Break Dancing or “Breaking,” will be introduced as a sport at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. This dance form has a fascinating history that began on American streets and progressed to be a feature of the biggest athletic event in the world. Breaking is a sport that has been gaining popularity over the years.

It was included at the Paris 2024 Olympics after making a great debut at the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires. Breakers compete against one another in one-on-one matches set to hip-hop DJ beats. Each dancer showcases their skills in a set number of rounds. Judges score on multiple criteria to decide the winners.

4. SPOT 24 – Museum to celebrate Olympics

There’s a big exhibit called SPOT 24 that’s showing off six new Olympic sports. These include breakdancing, 3-on-3 basketball, BMX tricks, climbing, skateboarding and surfing. It’s a great way for people to learn about these new sports.

3. Champions Park – A fan zone to greet medal winners

Probably one of the most attractive points for fans who will be visiting Paris is the Champions Park. Fans will have access to the zone where they can meet the athletes and get a lifetime opportunity to interact with them.

In order to make it a great experience the authorities have provided free access for all through the day from 29th of July to August 10. At the base of the Eiffel Tower, in Trocadéro Gardens, will be Champions Park, where the medal winners from the previous day’s competition will be celebrated each day. Following live broadcasts of the day’s major finals in what will eventually become an outdoor arena, they will be allowed to participate in a parade and mingle with the people.

2. Roland-Garros twice in a year, Nadal & Murray one last time

The French Open at Roland-Garros is a one of-its-kind event that fans witness every year, as it is the only Grand Slam on clay and has a rich history associated with tennis. Paris Olympics will provide a unique opportunity to witness the action at Roland-Garros twice in the same year. The icing on the cake is the fact that the clay soil will witness the greatest player on the surface Rafael Nadal one more time. Earlier this year, Rafael Nadal suffered a first round loss to Alexander Zverev at the French Open.

The upcoming Olympic match is set to be an emotional one for fans, offering a chance for a fairytale ending at a venue where the player has had great success. Interestingly, he was supposed to practice with Zverev before his first-round match, but there were concerns due to an injury scare. Another player, Andy Murray, is also in the spotlight, as he will be playing his last international tennis tournament due to an injury that has forced his retirement.

1. Beach volleyball In front of the Eiffel Tower

The first thing that comes to our mind at the mention of the city of Paris is the Eiffel Tower. One of the wonders of the world is surely an attraction for the fans, but the organizers have gone one notch higher to setup a temporary arena with a 12,000-seating capacity.

The venue will serve as the host to beach volleyball where a team of two people will be competing in a game of volleyball on the sands. Close to 2000 metric tonnes of sand have been used to create courts that are 15.7 inches deep to ensure utmost safety for the athletes.

The athletes who have started their practice have looked in awe at the arena as it produces one of the greatest sites for the quadrennial event. Once a training ground for Napolean Bonaparte, these volleyball players will be training and playing to win medals for their nation.
