Neeraj Chopra has been growing his portfolio over the years.
Neeraj Chopra is one of the most recognized sportspersons in India, thanks to his remarkable achievements in javelin throw. Chopra came up just short at the Paris Olympics 2024, winning the silver medal after having bagged gold at Tokyo 2020.
Despite this, Chopra remains an immensely beloved and popular athlete in India. Thanks to his achievements, the 26-year-old’s brand value has soared over the past few years. Although Chopra fell short in his quest for a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, the fact that he was the only Indian sportsperson to win a silver medal at Paris means his brand value continues to soar.
In fact, Chopra’s brand value has reportedly soared by 40-50% after his heroics in Paris. The 26-year-old is associated with quite a few prominent brands, be it international ones or some based in India itself. Here we look at the five most major brands that is endorsed by the popular Indian Javelin thrower.
5. Britannia
Neeraj Chopra’s brand value really started to soar after he bagged the gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Soon after his heroics, prominent Indian Food company Britannia Industries managed to rope in the athlete. Chopra signed a multi-year contract with Britannia in order to advertise their products and also be featured in their commercials too.
The exact value of this endorsement isn’t available on public but must be a multi-crores one due to the sheer worth of the Olympic Champion. With this association, Chopra was also featured in Britannia’s recent ‘Britannia Khao, Paris Jao’ campaign through their HungryForGold.com website, created to encourage users to play various sports games such as Javelin, Badminton and Boxing online.
4. Tommy Hilfiger
Earlier in 2024, Neeraj Chopra also managed to bag a deal with popular American fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger to promote their fashion products, especially of the sports variety. The 26-year-old claims that Hilfiger is his ‘favorite’ fashion brand and he has featured in quite a few of their advertising campaigns to promote certain line of clothing.
The exact value of this brand deal has not been publicly revealed. But considering that Nike used to pay $50,000 to Chopra for their brand deal in the past, he would’ve received much more than that from Tommy Hilfiger for his deal.

3. JSW Group
In 2023, Chopra agreed to become a brand ambassador for the JSW Group and adding to their large variety of major ambassadors. The JSW Group have been heavily involved in promoting Indian sportspersons and also helped sponsor the Indian contingent that travelled to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
As part of the deal, Chopra has appeared in a number of the JSW group’s commercials over the last year or so, especially during the Olympics. The exact value of his sponsorship with the group, however, is not yet clear.
2. Visa
Just before the 2024 Paris Olympics, Chopra was able to bag a lucrative deal for himself by announcing that he will be an ambassador for Visa India. The major digital payments brand announced their delight in partnering with the Olympic gold medalist, with the deal primarily focused on featuring Chopra in advertisements promoting the importance of digital payments and financial transactions.
By securing a deal with a major international brand like Visa, Chopra had the incentive to earn more than he typically does with Indian brands. While the exact figure hasn’t been revealed, Chopra is likely earning a multi-crore profit from his association with the brand
1. Samsung
When it comes to endorsing major international brands, Neeraj Chopra’s association with Samsung is probably his most lucrative one. The South Korean electronics brand has earned a huge name through its expansion into selling a variety of digital products over the last few decades. Neeraj’s work as the ambassador for Samsung sees him appear in commercials to promote their digital projects and also help promote sports as a whole through his image.
Samsung even launched a special ‘India Cheers for Neeraj’ campaign before the 2024 Olympics to get more people to showcase their appreciation for him. The value of this deal signed by Chopra isn’t public either, but considering the sheer size of Samsung’s brand, it must be a really lucrative one.
