Tata Maharashtra Open 2023: Day 2 Live Updates

Hello and welcome to the live blog of Khel Now for Day 1 of the Tata Open Maharashtra 2023.
The fifth edition of the ATP 250 Tata Open Maharashtra enters its second day. The tournament will run from 2-7 January 2023. The qualifying rounds in the singles section concluded on 1st January with Ramkumar Ramanathan the only Indian to make the cut into the main draw.
Manas Dhamne started the proceedings for India in the singles section and put up a great fight against WR 113 M.Mmoh from the USA. The 15-year-old Indian lost in straight sets (2-6.4-6) but played well at the start holding on to his serves. Sumit Nagal lost a close battle to WR 54 Krajinovic with the game lasting for close to two and a half hours (4-6,6-4,4-6). Here is the schedule for Day 2 of the Tata Open Maharashtra.

Ramakumar Ramanathan along with Varela will take on India’s number one doubles Bopanna and Zandschulp. Both Bopanna and Ramanathan were the champions in the last edition of the Maharashtra Open and now will be battling in the first round. Yuki Bhambri and Saketh Myneni will take on the French pairing and number three seed Rebould and Doumbia. Both Indians are inside the top 100 of the doubles rankings and shall be the pair to watch out for tomorrow.
Ramanathan who beat two top 200 players in the qualifying rounds will be up against Martinez of Spain while India’s number one S. Mukund will take on the qualifier Cobolli from Italy.
