Australian Open 2024 draw: All you need to know
The Draw will take place on 11th January.
The Australian Open 2024 draw takes place with some big names returning from injury lay-offs. Rafael Nadal will not be among them. The 22-time grand slam winner has pulled out of the tournament due to a new hip problem. Another star who has been absent from the tour for a while is Naomi Osaka, who gave birth to her daughter Shai last year. The four-time grand slam champion will try to resume her career in Melbourne.
The top seeds in the men’s and women’s singles are Novak Djokovic and Iga Swiatek, respectively. Djokovic, who has won the Australian Open a record 10 times, will aim to extend his dominance in the event. Swiatek, who won her maiden grand slam at the 2023 French Open, will face tough competition from the likes of defending champion Aryna Sabalenka, who is seeded second, and US Open winner Coco Gauff, who is seeded third.
Here is all you need to know about the season’s first grand Slam, the Australian Open 2024 Draw!
