Carlos Alcaraz Paris Masters 2025

Carlos Alcaraz has reached the final in his last nine tournaments.

The draw for the Paris Masters 2025 has been announced. Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner headline the masters event as the top two ranked stars, while defending champion Alexander Zverev is seeded third. Nevertheless, with eight titles and 67 victories in this dream, Alcaraz leads the charts on the ATP tour.

In the French capital, the Spaniard would aim to add another title to his kitty; however, he will have to face multiple challenges on his route to the accolade. Thus, without much ado, let’s look at Carlos Alcaraz’s projected path to the Paris Masters 2025 final.

Carlos Alcaraz’s projected draw at Paris Masters 2025

First round: Bye

As the top seed in Paris, Alcaraz has received a bye for the first round of the Masters event.

Second Round: Cameron Norrie/Sebastian Baez

Alcaraz is expected to face Cameron Norrie in the second round; however, he can also play a match against Argentine tennis star Sebastian Baez. Norrie and Baez have faced each other two times on the tour, and the Briton has maintained a flawless 2-0 record against the 24-year-old.

Moreover, Norrie reached the second week of the Wimbledon Championships as he showcased his ace-hitting prowess at SW19. He also faced Alcaraz in the quarterfinals but lost in straight sets. Meanwhile, Baez also crossed paths with the world No. 1 at the Japan Open in September and fell short 6-2, 6-2.

Third Round: Arthur Rinderknech/Valentin Vacherot/Jiri Lehecka

Alcaraz’s third-round fixture will be interesting. Shanghai Masters champion Valentin Vacherot is drawn in the same quadrant as his cousin, Arthur Rinderknech, who ended as a runner-up in China. Czechia’s Jiri Lehecka will also compete with full strength to reap better results.

Lehecka last faced the six-time Grand Slam champion in the US Open quarterfinals, losing in straight sets. However, before reaching the third round, he would have to face a couple of challenges from the wild cards.

Quarterfinals: Félix Auger-Aliassime/Casper Ruud

Félix Auger-Aliassime retired from the quarterfinals of the Swiss Indoors due to an injury. While the Canadian tennis star stands ninth in the race rankings, his participation in the tournament has also become a question. Meanwhile, Casper Ruud’s form has often been very precarious.

While he lost to Ugo Humbert in the Stockholm final, he was later forced to retire from the quarterfinals in Basel due to a foot injury. While both seeded players are injured, Brandon Nakashima can also emerge as a likely contender.

Semifinals: Taylor Fritz/Alexander Bublik

Fighting a different battle, Taylor Fritz has been unlikely on the tour lately. He lost to Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals of the US Open and later came up short against champion Carlos Alcaraz in the Japan Open final.

The American tennis star has failed to live up to the expectations of a top seed in the last two events, but he’ll look forward to finalising a stellar performance before the season ends.

Alexander Bublik has won four titles this season and has showcased his sly game at crucial junctions. Two out of his last four losses on the tour have come against Jannik Sinner.

However, he’s drawn in the top half of the Paris Masters, where he’s expected to face Carlos Alcaraz before his arch nemesis. Seeded 13th, Bublik would also have to overcome the challenge of Alex de Minaur.

Recently dethroned to the second spot in the ATP rankings, Sinner is keen on reclaiming his spot with increased confidence following his triumph in the Six Kings Slam. However, fans might expect to see a Sincaraz final for the seventh time this season.
